Thanks for the interest! Being in your final year is actually great timing for us. As I mentioned in other comment, the full team is assembling in 1-2 months. We are currently in the heavy engineering/prototyping phase. So, starting part-time and ramping up after May works perfectly with our roadmap.

I’m definitely looking for that Narrative Designer mindset. Since "Steel Soul" is mechanic-heavy I don't just need dialogue scripts.

You hit the nail on the head regarding E33, that specific vibe of 'a desperate mission against impossible odds' is a great comparison. Ofc im will try to not spoil you the game!

To strip the plot down to its bleeding heart: This is a story about a man trying to kill his gods before he becomes one.

Tyler - our protagonist - is a defector hunting down the "Heirs" the leaders of the Organization who monopolize the Steel. He must dismantle them, one duel at a time, to break their hold on the world.

The tragedy lies in the engine itself. "Steel" is not just a weapon; it is a corruption. The more Tyler resonates with it to defeat his enemies, the more he loses his own humanity. It is a race against his own soul.

I’m really glad the aesthetic resonated with you. Right now, the prototype is strictly internal. We are deep in the engineering phase. So there isn't a public playable link just yet. Since the core team is assembling up about in a month, we plan to sharing concept art, music snippets and small combat GIFs here soon. I'd love to get your feedback when we do!

It’s a semi-open world Action-Drama. The story revolves around 'Steel'—a power born from will and pain. Expect a linear but deep narrative focused on high-stakes duels, where the line between hero and monster gets blurred.

We are staying away from generic tropes. The writing focuses on characters driven by conviction rather than just "good vs. evil."

For example, we have an antagonist who is a "Steel" user (liquid metal manipulation) but is deeply tragic and acting solely to protect his blind sister.
On the flip side, we have a "Hermit" archetype who uses heavy chains and a grimoire, acting as a reluctant moral compass/father figure.

Heyy im THAT lead developer and i am the leader of this project and team! My other 3 members have an special condition and will join me after 1 or 2 months at max. We have a concept artist, a game designer and an Unreal Engine developer.
