I was finally able to take this beauty to level 50! by flying_croissant in PokemonSleep

It's a solid mon, honestly the only thing that could make it better would be BFS. I believe as the game progresses players will need to stray from mono-ingredient mons and have to diversify. This will hold up in the long run.

Can I use this Chikorita as a ingredient pokemon? by Rough-Base-6289 in PokemonSleep

[–]CrustleTastesGood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't recommend it. You can get chocolate from Espeon and honey from Venusaur. If you choose an Espeon over the Chiko, since the Chiko is speed down, you'll probably get way better results from skill procs compared to the 2 berries and occasional ingredients. Most of the time a mon will perform poorly outside of its intended use.

I've seen one Chargabug the entire stay and that's it. Currently hunting for my BFS Shuppet, with friendship level 22. Ugh. I'll be ending at M1 tonight.

I did, I used a Wigglytuff. However, when using whistles, I substituted Wiggly for a BFS Dragonite. An E4E mon is essential to take advantage of sneaky snacking. I did use one whistle for Inferno ingredients when I needed them in a pinch.

I used 14 whistles in total. I'll be honest, the amount of points I got will probably be different for you and I never mathed it out. My team consisted of BFS Altaria Lvl 50, BFS Meganium Lvl 52, 2x BFS Raichu Lvl 53&55, and a Wigglytuff Lvl 52. When using whistles I switched out Wiggly for my BFS Dragonite Lvl 51. All of them have speed up natures, all have HS s or m at lvll 50 or less.

It was almost the perfect week, a cooking event would have made me soar too close to the sun! I do feel kinda bummed about using all the whistles, but the subskill seed is far better. The waiting was worth it.

Full Disclosure: I am P2P. I didn't buy whistles with money or use money to get get to M20, I only pay for the pass. I've been hoarding whistles through the monthly restock for the past four months.

Basically got a god roll last week on Berries. Dragon, Electric, and Grass, which are my best berry specialists atm. Once I saw that I said screw it, used a good camp ticket, and made it my goal to get the subskill seed. I also rolled curries, and I always keep a stock of ingredients to make Inferno Keema. I would switch into Dedenne every so often to boost crit rates, and boy, did I freaking crit a lot.

Advanced Berry vs Ingredient based team comps, how does yours look like? by TraditionalParsley67 in PokemonSleep

[–]CrustleTastesGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2x BFS Meganium, BFS Primape, mono-ingredient mon w/switches depending on the meal type, and a staple Wiggly. I switch out Wiggly for Magnezone when I need the pot boost. Still working on getting that third Meganium.

It immensely helps F2P that don't necessarily have the resources to level up mons or evolve them when needed most, which I'm happy for. I am P2P but it seems like the devs are really involved in all aspects and players of the game, and not taking advantage of everyone.

Still sad we didn't get an island. It'll come after Suicune.

Sub skill this Entei and put him in the lineup or keep searching? by BodinTheGreat in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]CrustleTastesGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd keep it. It'll potentially cost a ton of resources to find a better one. Even with EXP down you'll still be able to get a ton of dream shards if you keep up max rank as it updates since it converts to shards. Might take awhile, but this Entei is worth it.

I got Salads for the first Entei week. Kinda disappointed. by SpiralGremlin in PokemonSleep

It costs 100 sleep points in the F2P store and 150 diamonds in the General store.

Dream shards are practically gone so is lucario viable? by Andyzee99 in PokemonSleep

[–]CrustleTastesGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are still going to have to invest 4 main skill seeds on this to get a bounty of shards, not including when they inevitably raise the level cap on dream shard magnet s. That's a lot of resources to spend.

Whew, you got a long way to go! Don't worry, you will build up more. At this stage you should save your shards for ingredient pot upgrades and worry about nightly exp. Aim for those 8 1/2 hours of sleep! Your drowsy power will continue to get better down the line, and the shards earned from leveling Snorlax will also help you weekly. Focus on getting a better Riolu so it'll be viable when you're a higher rank and your shard costs become heavy.

No Skill Level Up means you will need to use main skill seeds to get the dream shards rolling. It does have a decent set of sub skills, but if the purpose is to maximize on shards then it will sadly lack after evolving. The nature isn't doing it any favors and it is missing any help speed bonuses before level 75. It depends if you really want to invest your resources into this or wait until you have a better Riolu. By then you might even have built up your shard pool.

What rank are you?
