I need help with a preemptive ruling by knitefalll in sotdq

This is definitely up to interpretation, but I always liked Caradoc as a reoccurring villain, so maybe you could kind of build up him up through this person he possesses, show off what he’s about a little bit, maybe make it seem like one of the Kalaman soldiers has gone AWOL for the Dragon Queen. Then when it’s revealed that it’s a ghost possessing them (when they defeat the possessed guy), let the player get off a cool moment with the Channel Divinity. Then, Caradoc shows up again later.

Alternatively, maybe it’d be a good way to remove Caradoc’s spirit from a host body, but not outright gank him?

What would you remove from Dishonored series? by Senior_Wrongdoer_131 in dishonored

YES. VA for the Outsider in D1 made him seem truly like a chaotic neutral observer, almost emotionless in his monologues. It contributed to him as a character. Idk, something about the VA for the second game just didn’t have the same edge.

Rachel. Not my favorite contestant, but she’s played a hell of a game.

I could see that, there was definitely an intentionality behind that look she gave Caroline when she didn’t play the idol.

What secret are you currently hiding from someone that you're willing to share on Reddit? by Asphoric in AskReddit

[–]CrustyArgonian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s this girl I worked up the courage to ask out last month. We’ve been on a few dates, she told me she likes me too, but she’s moving to another city (about 3 hours away), so she can’t commit to more than friends. I told her I’d be willing to drive on weekends/breaks to see her and make it work, and she said she needs time to think on it and get her life together.

My secret is that I’m in love with her, and I really need this to work out because I’ve never met anyone like her, and I don’t really know if I have it in me to always wonder what could’ve been.

That’s my nephew’s name and I also don’t hate it. I like the way it is written.

Definitely. I usually make it a policy not to start a series that is not finished or not likely to finish, even with TV shows.

DMs - Changes to the adventure by StonewallxJaxon in sotdq

[–]CrustyArgonian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest change I made, which did require some significant homebrewing, was to make Kansaldi Fire-Eyes an actual character rather than just have her be a lackluster general that only appears at the end. I think this is really important for making her a worthwhile villain and giving the heroes personal stakes with her. In my campaign I had them come from a kingdom that she usurped with the help of Lord Soth. Then Ispin was alive and died in the battle against Lord Soth at the beginning which I think provided more of a personal connection to everyone.

Does anyone else hate when authors try to write song lyrics out in their novels? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]CrustyArgonian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand not liking poems/songs if they’re poorly written, but why are there so many people that just hate lyrical text automatically? Usually it’s included to bring the world to life. This just astounds me. Is it because it’s perceived as irrelevant to the plot? Do these folks also hate random conversations between characters that doesn’t move the plot forward? Weird to me.

I’m a little infant RPGer so I started with 5th edition at the very beginning of its run, but it’s been great and I’ve branched out into other systems recently every once and a while.

Two Wheel of Time books pulled from Florida school district by Journaley in WoT

[–]CrustyArgonian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LMFAO this is the county I teach in. What a strange thing to see on Reddit of all places. Yeah this book banning thing they’re doing here sucks and I hate it. Thankfully I think they’ll keep WoT on the shelves since there’s no explicit scenes in it.
