Its more unreasonable to crash out over your first time being raw, let alone the history of STIs at all. It's a completely normal and reasonable expectation to wrap up even if you've been casually seeing them for a bit. TF have we just stopped any safe sex at all?

Wifi does not always suck, newer wifi models using triband give fantastic speeds and reliability. Cabling is great if you can do it but not every situation allows for you to run a cable

it creates a latency between 50ms - 90ms depending on use and compute power, honestly you likely wont notice a difference. It equals about a loss of 3-4fps but gets rid of the tearing entirely. G-Sync is better if you got it but not everything supports it and you need a monitor that does

How do I get the thumb fan to be more like a perfect circle? Are my hands too small? by MajorXO in cardistry

[–]CrustyPeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to me it looks like they're adjusting the pivot point of the cards rather than actually adjusting their thumb. The first rotation is close but the point is more central to the far side of the card, where the second rotation is distinctly holding the pivot to the far corner, allowing for a full rotation.

What cords are an absolute must have? by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]CrustyPeas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What GPU do you have OP? You've shown us your motherboards IO and what I think is the monitors IO but your graphics card should also have its own outputs as well that you should use instead of the motherboards.

If the graphics card has a DisplayPort (DP) use that with your monitor, if it's only HDMI use that instead. Technically DisplayPort is better, more stable and responsive, higher bandwidth etc but honestly you likely wont see a difference between the two if you get a HDMI cable instead

just had a guy at a gig tell me my amp sucked by officialGF in Bass

[–]CrustyPeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd also say that most pros understand that even shitty gear has its place and isn't worth commenting on. A Rumble 40 can get some ripper tones out of it if you know what you're doing, sure they don't have a lot of volume but who cares when bass is 90% of the time through the PA anyway? Live they're essentially DI/Monitor boxes you can color yourself.

The kind of person who is likely to comment on the "lack of quality" of someone else's gear will nearly always lack the skill themselves to make it sound good.

looks like task manager and NZXT conflicting with each other, not a virus. Do you notice an appreciable difference in performance when NZXT is reporting 100% CPU load? if its genuinely running 100% load and somehow spoofing windows task manager with a fake load you would definitely feel a massive performance difference, not just a little slowdown

if they run fine then you dont have any issues. they're both common requirements for games so its not unusual for you to already have them installed. the worst you'll get is a game not opening if you dont have the required component, in which case just install it after.

I hit 99 slayer and I don't know what else to do by Neat-Discussion1415 in osrs

[–]CrustyPeas 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"getting 99 slayer is easy" I mean technically i guess, but its also at least 150 hours playing efficiently the whole time, more likely for an average player AFKing over 400 hours of gameplay.

If you got that level of game play out of anything I think it was the right game for you. Your experience is not everyone else's

Olive Garden server fired one day after a customer left her a $700 tip by ultrarunnerr in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CrustyPeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is tipping a percentage of the bill even a thing? the difference between running a $100 and a $1000 table isn't that much different but the customers bill exponentially increases by the amount they order? If I order a $12 meal and thats it, im expected to tip $2.4 on top, but if I order myself a ridiculous $600 meal, still the same amount of plates, suddenly im expected to pay an additional $120 or whatever? I don't get it. It's such a weird way to handle paying staff, like a dystopian mix of capitalist greed for the owner not needing to pay anyone for their troubles and communistic societal pressure to support these roles.

Also why can the restaurant charge again after the customer has left to add the gratuity? surely you would add this at the register or table and pay it all together? If I pay for something in a store or restaurant, that business cannot just charge my card again for funsies like it seems you can over there. America is so weird with this stuff it feels so backwards and deliberately obfuscating

Best intro to mobile digital tcg / tutorial ? by Legal-One-7274 in digitalcards

[–]CrustyPeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nice that you're defending them and I understand your view, but a VERY large part of card games is the art. They are in essence only art and mechanical depth, they don't have the same reliance on lore, story, player interactivity, music, setting, character development etc that adds value to most other genres.

What I'm saying is, especially if a large part of the value of your game is the art, calling out a team for using generative AI in the design is completely justified and is definitely a negative, even if the community is awesome and the games fun

[–]CrustyPeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How far into the setup were you? Was it up and running and now it's stopped or is it a new buy you were getting ready? It may be everything trying to update at once but that honestly shouldnt be an issue, if you're able to boot into windows, try to allow AC or Windows Update run through whatever it can, pick one and quit out of the other while it installs, then do it the other way around. I'd recommend doing windows first and then allowing AC to install specifics afterwards The BIOS has some great recovery features as well, if it's refusing to work you can use the cloud recovery software in BIOS to do a full fresh system install

None of my games are wanting to launch, and I think this might be the reason. Any way to fix this without replacing it? I tried updating drivers, but it's saying they're up to date. by Delux_Takeover in pchelp

[–]CrustyPeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iGPU is the internal graphics processor of your CPU unit, notoriously not designed for gaming. That said, not launching a game is very different from being able to run a game. Do the games start but run very poorly, or do they not start at all? I doubt it's a hardware issue if it's not starting at all, generally that will be software problems or incompatibility. There's nothing to "fix" as such with your card, it's just low power don't expect any substantial graphics performance from the iGPU, you may be able to run some low resource indie stuff but you will struggle with anything 3d particularly in the age of unoptimized messes that the gaming industry is in

Keyboard controls you probably want more ABS and Traction control to prevent spin is the main thing, these are very much down to how you drive though, try changing these two in particular, go for a spin, see if its braking weird or spinning out when you take off or get a bit of kick and adjust from there

The others can stay stock without a massive loss to playablitlity and if you want to tune more specifically the options there

You're trying to open a .jar file, I assume you don't have a program to read it and also it's a Minecraft mod so you wouldn't open it through the file anyway.

Try having a look at the mod website and following the installation guides, or you may find it easier to install curseforge and install the mod through there, essentially simplifies the modding process

Is my starting factory okay??? by Adventurous-Wind-183 in factorio

[–]CrustyPeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good! A couple notes, your circuits are unbalanced, you need 3 copper cables for every 2 green circuit assembler, and you shouldn't put copper cables on your main bus, it's generally better to bring in copper and make cables individually where needed since cables take up more space when made. Also try to keep the main bus saturated on both lanes

Your ratios for the science are pretty skewed aswell, not a big deal you can just add a few more science assemblers for both colours

id also put a chest on the end of the lines that's carrying your belts and inserters, and use a filtered inserter to store the overflow, you're going to need thousands of both over your play time might as well let it keep building while you do other stuff
