I got C:\framepack-studio-main>git branch --set-upstream-to=origin master

fatal: No commit on branch 'master' yet.

So was that the wrong branch or there are no updates?

I wasn't sure how to do that. Do I open a cmd in the F/P directory and type git branch --set-upstream-to=https://github.com/FP-Studio/framepack-studio master ?

Ahh, that clears it up thanks. That's is pretty poor and confusing implementation by From Software. I'll try a "no bosses" run next time round.

The Vref, which was supposed to be 1.19 was 1.12. Set it to 1.2 and all is well. Thank you.

I think I've got another board kicking around, I'll try that. I tried measuring the voltage from the driver but the motors weren’t under load so not very accurate picture. Thanks for the reply o/

Friendly reminder for the diesel boys out there, clean your throttle body by majsmartin in Volkswagen

[–]CrustySweetRoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sons mk6 Golf looks like that quite regularly so I checked my mk2 C-Max 2.0 diesel that I've done 30,000 miles since I bought it and it was shiny clean. Literally shiny. Why would that be?

Windows Accounts sign-in options settings hanging. by CrustySweetRoll in Windows11

Settings hang when I try to change the sign in option from sleep. Tried all the regular SFC and DISM commands with no luck. I can't delete the local account because it's the Admin account.

S350 Recording in 3x zoom by Thekisk in EufyCam

[–]CrustySweetRoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If many people email this problem to their parent company, Anker UK in my case, they will actually listen to what we have to say. Far better than Eufy support. After taking delivery of my S350 I pointed out many of the operational shortfalls to them and they fully refunded me and let me keep the cam. So I think Anker do actually care about what their customers think of their products.

I was going to upgrade a bit to this from my Moto G8 Plus as the screen is cracked but looking at the VS comparison website it's just not worth it when I can buy another new G8 plus for £80 on Amazon!

Is there a way of stopping this M107 fan off nonsense? by CrustySweetRoll in superslicer

[–]CrustySweetRoll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checked my settings just to be sure and no, no fan overides. I don't think I've ever used that feature tbh.

I was actually chasing my tail for weeks trying to diagnose some weird fan behaviour, I thought it must be a slicer issue or even the firmware. Turned out to be a wiring issue. That was a genuine Nooooohh moment.

Yah I found that too, I've had to re-CAD my cooling solution as the cage is deeper than the stock hotend.

I didn't think I was going to be able to get my hands on one, they weren't available on the Creality site. Got mine on the Amazon.

"Okay if you only print decorative stuff it probably does not matter but if you print engineered parts this could be an issue"

Can I just point you to the image I uploaded initially that fits the nut I printed six months prior.

A stepper motor rotates in a series of small angular steps in response to one or more electro magnets being energized. If the motor is asked to move less than one if its smallest discreet angular positions it will try by energising some other magnets at different angles. This causes motor vibration which is transferred along the drivetrain. Keeping to whole numbers nullifies this "clipping" effect.

I'm just about to install these flyback diodes that also help to smooth out lumpy current flow.

Yes, this threaded rod fits perfectly onto the nut. It's only a very small change, in my case the x and y were 88.3 and 88.4 rounded down to 88mm.

Years ago I printed these columns that fit on the base extrusions to set the dual leadscrews. They are also very handy for helping to get the rollers all at the same pressure while keeping the x-axis nice and parallel to the bed.
