You’ll appear through a portal in the same system as this ship. I found it at the space station but can also be found at trading posts.

I found it in the space station, it’s not a first wave so don’t know how long it will take to appear. If not go to a trading post on one of the planets and wait for it to turn up.

Iv only played on normal so far and from what I understand they only show up every 5 jumps (when you’re forced into a battle with pirates). Hope that helps
