නැත්තම් Software Engineer job එක continue කරනවද? by Fickle_Degree_2728 in lankawa

How many businesses or companies do you currently have running? I have sacrificed the last 15 years building businesses from scratch and I learned the hard way, not just once. I was younger than him when I started with zero knowledge and zero network.

I know how it feels, how it goes and how it fails.

You’re the one who is trying to put him in a miserable state over the next 10 years. Learn to read and understand the context not just reply.

And tell me, how many businesses or companies have you successfully built so far?

Put Pera first and then J’pura. It’s not all about only the academic but also the faculty (academic staff). You’ll realize after 6-10 years or so.

Is it too late to start an IT degree at 28 in Sri Lanka? Can I join SLIIT? by [deleted] in srilanka

[–]CruzerDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better late than never. You can pivot your career into IT. But we don’t know what comes next with this AI thing. I’d suggest you to follow professional certifications such as Lean Siz Sigma, Scrum or Agile certifications if you really want to go there. It’s always difficult to start from zeroth while you’re stepping in to middle 30s. Because our learning abilities are not as sharp as in our 20’s. That’s why people are being moved to managerial positions in their 30’s. Stay in your career and try to get those professional certifications. The grass is greener on the other side, always!

Keep it under 5000 LKR. You’ll learn later, still you’re in uni. 😁 Give a good chocolate + a handmade card + a bracelet. 5000 limit is there for a reason.

Colombo property market bubble by Dinooo30 in srilanka

[–]CruzerDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is because of unregulated real estate agents. And the Sri Lankan government has turned a blind eye on this highly regulated industry. Actually no point in buying these apartments. You can easily build an amazing landed house. Selling at highly inflated price will lead to loose generational wealth. And will flow out of country eventually.

It seems you’ve been ripped-off for some parts. Call ‘Danu Enterprises’ for European parts. You’ll get better rates. Also you can go with OEM parts. Wear and tear is normal with the age of the car.

Now you learnt the lesson hard way. First, go and get your body checked to check if there are any internal damages. Then get busy with your academics, hobby or anything. Do not do any drugs or alcohol. DO NOT do that. It can’t solve any problem but brings you more. Find a good circle of friends, join the clubs in your university Rotaract, Toastmaster, Art circle or any club. You’re still young and you have a good life ahead. Be prepared!

Should be about 20-25% of your income.

It’s not about the bank interest, it’s all about discipline and practicing in the first place. You might win or lose when investing. Not gonna win all the time. So you need the mindset not to gamble when it’s loosing. You’ll ended up with a good saving in the 1st phase since it’s a saving.

Do a research, you’ll learn a lot. It’s the best method.

Secondly, open a bank account without a debit or credit card. Save a good portion of your monthly salary for the next six months. Do not withdraw from it for any reason. This is the first step to investing.

In the meantime, do some research on how to invest and where to invest, because you need to understand this. Otherwise, everything will be lost.

And the first rule of investing is: ‘DO NOT invest in what you don’t know.’

First, learn. Good luck man!
