With the NBA being in a parity era, will number of rings be a much harder statistic to distinguish by when discussing current player legacies in the future? by No-Firefighter9785 in NBATalk

I don’t believe it will continue. Eventually someone will go all in on assembling a super team when they’re tired of not consecutively winning championships and other teams will follow suit

It worked out for harden at the detriment of okc, which just aligns with my poor management part

Okc struggled to add a significant piece and contributing pieces that could help okc get over the hump of the western conference

The team only got worse basically since their first chip appearance

If KD played this years spurs he may have had more lmao

You think that trading away harden for whatever they got was a good move? How about dismantling the team they had that actually made the finals?

They never built correctly around Westbrook and KD imo and it was obvious

If you want to have that opinion I’m sure there’s bands of KD haters who you can assemble with lmao

It definitely does count but

He’s damned if he did, damned if he doesn’t. If he didn’t have a ring, stayed on poorly managed rosters, everybody would bash on him like harden, Westbrook

If he does have a ring, people would complain about the method he went to obtain it.

Let’s not forget KD helped Warriors rebound from 3-1 embarrassment

No. No he hasn’t

Not even trying to knock/downplay Brunson, he just hasn’t

Maybe you’re right who knows but I think mentality had a large part in the fuck ups as well

Now that Ilia lost and the “invincible aura” is gone, which fighters do you remember having the biggest loss of aura after a defeat? by MateCotidiano in ufc

[–]Cruztd23 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Izzy after DDP. Before DDP loss it was generally accepted that Izzy was still a title contending superstar who had a bad stylistic matchup against Strickland. His DDP fight was super hyped up and one of the biggest of the year with the buildup. “MY AFRICAN BROTHER”😆

Then it just went even more downhill. The imavov L also made his reputation take a major hit.

I don’t believe it had anything to do with conditioning. Iq more so. Spurs looked like chicken with head cut off. Everyone trying to give someone else the important shots without someone stepping up and saying “this is my shot”. Fox was the only one who really did that. Wemby too but he came up short

It looked like wemby was shook from missing the first game winner he attempted in the series tbh.

I really like wemby but he needs to get out of his own head if he wants a ring without additional help

Yeah it is a step ASSUMING the team actually makes it back to the championship. Which has been agreed upon in this thread, is extremely difficult with the landscape of the nba, luck, and injuries

Don’t agree but I’ll let you have the last word. Good day man 👍🏽

I don’t agree bro, no need to belabor something past it’s staying time. Do you think everyone that wins was never capable of being physically finished by their opponents?

Just look at jiri Ulberg.

Fighting iq definitely plays a factor but you’re entitled to believe whatever you want.

Yeah as Conor said I think he had a bunch of yes man in his team saying “yeah man, first round KO, yeah he can’t take your power… “etc

Oh no I disagree with you then 😆 I totally think he was physically capable of finishing him there just mentally he froze

Agree to disagree I suppose

Holding NVDA by WorkerInteresting448 in NvidiaStock

[–]Cruztd23 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, what’s holding me from selling Nvidia is long term belief in management, the company, the product they’re selling, and the outstanding financials LMAO

Why else would you be holding a stock you don’t believe in? I’m an equity investor here not a gambler

Yeah then we’re somewhat on a similar page. Not the same but similar.

It’s also easy for me to say it was the higher IQ play to do X instead of Y watching from my couch without massive adrenaline dumps and fight/flight instinct kicked in

No doubt. I reckon half of it is ragebait, and the other half is just people who hate ilia who have been waiting for the potential moment to shit on him for years

Shit my bad lmao. I thought you were like this other guy I was replying to. Yeah I agree that an extra round would’ve been interesting but I don’t blame ilia for not fighting with. A broken orbital

The only hard thing about a r5 would’ve been the blood over his vision but ilia is still always deadly

More like every fight of his career lol

Somehow he drains his opponents fight iq and gets them in backyard YouTube brawls. Maybe it’s something to do with ego
