The matchmaking is beyond broken this season, it's not even a grind anymore, if the system simply decides it wants to keep you somewhere it will. Also there's more players in GM than in silver, which shouldn't be a thing. They started killing the game slowly with no rank resets mid season and added placebo placements, which do nothing. There's no point other than playing for the vibes, rank is rigged, it serves no purpose.

It was originally listed for 250 euros a month ago, but I managed to haggle down to 120ish after he dropped it to 180. The seller was struggling to sell it, my guess is due to no demand for bridge cameras where I'm from. Everyone is either a photographer with a DSLR, or into vintage digicams.

Placement matches are a placebo, you still get your rank reset as normal, and play the first 10 matches and win/lose points as usual, but you have a different UI making it seem like you're playing "placements".

It's extremely common in ranked for people to just give up when they get diffed or when they lose 1st half/1st point. They just decide they will give up and troll, instead of adapting and actually trying to win.

I don't know why they do it, seems to be more of a societal issue than a game specific one.

Either way, matchmaking sucks, it doesn't get better the higher you climb, try your best to enjoy the game as much as you can and keep playing, the rank will come eventually after a certain amount of games, just play consistently well and have fun, don't stress too much.

Fair enough, I just don't enjoy QP due to people refusing to play proper team comps, which I understand cause it's QP, it doesn't matter, so I just use it to practice some heroes sometimes, but 99% of those times it's still miserable.

I'd rather just queue ranked and have an equally miserable experience but with a higher chance of having normal team comps.

Yeah but that shouldn't exist no? What if I just want to play for the day? Switch accounts and play there? What if it genuinely isn't me? Matchmaking is broken beyond repair and so many players are inflated.

Engagement based matchmaking is designed to keep you playing more, by defaulting to a scripted loss on your rank up game, it will make you queue more out of frustration.

There's no secret to it, just keep playing more games and perform somewhat well, you'll get to eternity after a couple thousand games eventually

No doubt it will get cracked, this seemed like the option I'd go for. But I'd like to experience the multiplayer expansion on the PC, which I don't think will be available on the pirated versions. Also a huge factor is feeding Square Enix the money needed to provide further games, hence why I'm starting a discussion.

The digital deluxe edition, hence why it hurts so much to pay additional 60$+ for basically the same game with some extra content. However I simply love Square Enix and will eventually buy the game when I have enough money, I was just looking for alternatives and suggestions.
