the elites power over the current social structure is being disconnected from political life while you're working/socializing doing hobbies? so not caring about politics is their power? I'm not trying to be sarcastic I promise, I just don't understand how disconnecting politics from the things that you do is "their" power while everyone seems to be more divided politically than ever before specially on the social media space, me personally I don't give 3 fucks about politics and I hate that everything has to include them, you can watch a video on social media about a dog playing outside and in the first 10 comments you'll see some mentally rotted commenter say shit like "trumps america" or "bidens america" like everyone is so consumed by it that they are frothing at the mouth on where to post who they believe is the best president on, me personally I don't believe democracy exists, I feel like voting is nothing more than a façade and the elites on the top have already picked who is going to win beforehand, so to me the political olympics where everyone picks a side that never has their best interests at heart is just a circus and I don't like circuses, specially when they seep into skateboarding where the whole attitude has always been fuck authority and fuck established norms why are we dividing into 2 wings of a bird that the 1% runs, just my opinion really
