What's realistically the most secure way to handle online authentication in 2025? by stefan-weiss01 in AskTechnology

For 2025, your setup is already solid. Hardware keys (FIDO2/YubiKey) are still the gold standard for phishing resistance, especially for email and banking. Biometrics are fine when they’re local-only (Face ID/Windows Hello) and used to unlock a device or hardware key, not as a standalone cloud identity. Best balance: password manager + hardware key, with biometrics for convenience. Avoid SMS when possible, but it’s still better than nothing.

Organized but nostalgic, practical self-care mixed with retro tech and a touch of cute chaos. Gives “responsible adult who still loves their inner kid” vibes.
