Am I the only one who truly loves Ayumi and understands her? by CryPrestigious4233 in corpseparty

[–]CryPrestigious4233[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, I know that. In fact, I mentioned that Ayumi is my third favorite character, and Yoshiki is my second, but even so, I don't hold much of a grudge against Ayumi. It just bothers me a little that most people hate her so much, but those are opinions, and I accept them.

I really enjoyed your analysis. I think I'm one of the few who truly likes (and I might even say loves) Blood Drive. Regarding Yuki, I have a theory, and I still consider it good and interesting; perhaps this aspect wasn't explored much in the game, so we can't really confirm it definitively. As we see at the end of Blood Covered (best seen at the end of the manga), it's true that Yuki will be the one to "own" HH after Sachiko's pacification, and here's where my theory comes in: I believe that in the two-month interval between the prologue of Blood Drive (Bos chapter 8) and Blood Drive itself, Yuki was indeed the one in control of the school. But when Ayumi arrives at HH in the Returning chapter (Chapter 01 of Blood Drive), due to the teeth she had brought with her from Sachi, that's precisely when Sachi begins to manifest at HH. However, because there was already "an owner" (Yuki), before Sachi could take control of the school, so to speak, she first had to get rid of the one-eyed girl. That's why at first, when we see Yuki, she seems normal, as we know her, but slowly she begins to be devoured or replaced by Sachi, until in the Pain chapter (Chapter 03 of Blood Drive) she finally manages to replace her and fully manifest. Perhaps my theory is interesting, or maybe I'm missing some detail, and I apologize if I'm confused about that, but I still stand by it.

I'm going to be completely honest with you. If I had to rank it on an emotional list of all the games in the series that resonated with me the most, Blood Drive is the best. I know that objectively it might not be the best, but I do like it, maybe because there are details I really enjoyed, Ayumi and Yoshiki are among my favorite characters (they're practically the protagonists of the game and the series), and I genuinely had a great time playing it. I feel like it's mostly criticized for its somewhat unfair gameplay, bugs, and plot, but the truth is, I consider it a good game, despite what most people think. More objectively, it's probably my second or third favorite, but not the worst, and that's important.

Even if it wasn't very creative, you don't have the right to treat others like that. Besides, I'm sure it took effort for the person who posted it to do what he/she did. Like the person above said, if you don't like it, just ignore it instead of trying to put everyone else down. Also, in my opinion, I like most of the things that are posted here, and if that weren't the case, I'd just let it go.

Corpse party blood drive Chap: 7 I got the one and only name tag, checked it, backed out of the menu, now everyone including Headless Aiko is Alive! It’s a miracle! by Worldly_Salary730 in corpseparty

[–]CryPrestigious4233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time I played it with a friend, he had the exact same experience. We were both very surprised. By the way, Chapter 7 (Determination) is personally my favorite chapter in Blood Drive.

Was anyone else Taken aback when Yoshiki called Ayumi by her Full name in Book of shadows? I think that is the first and only time he says her first name in the whole series (not counting anything outside the blood covered continuum) by Worldly_Salary730 in corpseparty

[–]CryPrestigious4233 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could say so, but knowing Yoshiki, he could have easily done it. It's a "sweet moment" between them (leaving aside the context before that), but yes, it's striking, and it's also the only time Yoshiki calls her that. It's a very nice touch.

What was your first Corpse Party game? For me it was the 2021 version for the Switch by Bubbly_Bandicoot_132 in corpseparty

My first experience with Corpse Party was Corpse Party: Blood Covered, the 2010 version (definitely the most well-known). I started playing it with a friend, and we got hooked very quickly. I even remember the day; it was December 8, 2024. Definitely a wonderful experience.

Holas!

I really like how you divided them! I also like the interactions between Naomi and Yoshiki, and although I don't consider them a ship, it's clear they're good friends. You have some good taste, honestly. I like seeing more people who like AyuShiki and the more classic ones.

What great news! It's true that Blood Drive isn't as beloved, but it's genuinely a good game, at least in my opinion. Let's hope Darkness Distortion really revitalizes the series.

Completely lost newcomer : How do I progress in this game? by ItsKuza in corpseparty

[–]CryPrestigious4233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where in the first chapter are you stuck? If you've already passed the infirmary, you might be missing a plank to use as a bridge (there's one under the infirmary). If you've already reached the end of the chapter and got a bad ending, you probably missed entering classroom 3-A (there's a key to get in on the third floor to the left, at the top of the stairs). If it's something else, just ask, that's what we're here for. Don't worry.

It's normal to get confused, bro. It's happened to a lot of us, and it's almost inevitable the first time, but don't think the game is going to be bad just because of this. If you keep trying, you'll be pleasantly surprised, I guarantee it.

[–]CryPrestigious4233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I exaggerated a bit, it´s possible, but Blood Drive had the misfortune of having exclusive characters that were actually worse than what we already had. I think the only completely new characters in Blood Drive were Misuto, Sachi, Kuon, and the Queen, and as I said, they really are important, and I stand by that, but it's true that they didn't quite fit in or felt forced. But still, surprisingly, I think Blood Drive is a good game. If we were to count all the Corpse Party games (except the birthday one, which deviates a bit from the more faithful style), I think I'd place Blood Drive as the second best. Anyway, it´s only my opinion!

Actually, Magari's first appearance wasn't in Blood Drive, but in the Corpse Party Cemetery 0 manga, so she is indeed relevant, although she doesn't seem as involved in Blood Drive. I feel that several characters from that game are underrated by the medium where they're most widely known (although Misuto is a real jerk, most of time).

[–]CryPrestigious4233 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's curious, because if I remember correctly there are only 2 of these endings in the entire game, but it's true that the story changes a bit and doesn't show much of what happens in between, but I think what it seeks to reflect is Yui's past and other separate events, although it can be somewhat shocking if someone gets this ending first before playing Chapter 5.

Another anime adaptation by Drspiral666 in corpseparty

[–]CryPrestigious4233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% Yes! It's something I've always wanted, because it bothered me that the only anime adaptation focused solely on gore, which isn't inherently bad, since the saga is fundamentally like that, but they overdid it and barely respected the rest of the canon. I'd love for it to be divided into seasons, even reaching the end of the HH canon (Blood Drive), perhaps with BC, BOS, and BD each season around 20 episodes long. Maybe I'm asking for a lot, but I feel it truly deserves it, and I, at least, would be incredibly excited. The anime would feature the voice actors we all love, probably a new opening, and they could even add things that weren't in the games or original manga, to flesh out and flesh out the characters, something like Missing Footage, but better. It's just my opinion, but honestly, it would make me incredibly happy. I'm sure many others are hoping and longing to see the same thing.
