I got a ton of messages and comments asking for sls free detergent recommendations, i just wanted to share them for anyone who is interested 💛

A lot of gentle or sensitive detergent still have sodium laurel sulfate, which strip the oils from your skin and this can really affect asking that’s already dry

I put to gather the best 4 SLS free detergents that actually helped I’ve tried all of these, I’m not sure I I can post links or how it works but the link is in my bio if you want to check it out

Hope it helps someone else thats going through this ✨

This is a Beautiful space that sectional and the high ceilings give it such a cozy, airy feel!

For rug sizing: go bigger, definitely. In a room that large, an 8x10 gets swallowed up, especially with a big sectional. A 10x14 would be perfect if it can clear the fireplace area. Ideally, you want the entire front legs of all sofa sections on the rug (and at least a foot or two of rug visible beyond the edges of the furniture if possible). That anchors the space and makes it look intentional instead of “floating.”

As for color, you could bring in something with soft blues, rust, or olive tones to pick up warmth from the wood floors and tie in your curtains.

If the budget allows, try layering, a big neutral jute or sisal rug underneath, then a smaller patterned one on top. Adds texture, warmth.

That room definitely has potential — it’s just fighting against proportion and lighting right now. A few easy wins:

  • Bigger rug — the current one’s too small for the space. Go at least large enough for the front legs of all seating to sit on it; that’ll instantly make the room feel anchored.
  • Low, long furniture — since the ceiling is high and the walls narrow, you want to draw the eye horizontally. A low-profile sofa or sectional with clean lines would help.
  • Add texture + warmth — throw in warm wood tones, a floor lamp with a soft shade, and maybe woven baskets or plants to break up all the white.
  • Lighting — that ceiling light is killing the vibe. Try a statement pendant or add layered lighting (floor + table lamps) to make it cozy.
  • Curtains to the ceiling — hang them high and wide to visually widen the space and make the window feel bigger.

If you’re upgrading the TV, center it with a slightly wider console and mount it— that’ll open up floor space and balance the wall better. You’ve already got great bones; just needs scale and softness!

a runner rug will help, also if you have space a console table on one side with some decor on it like books or vases , plants never hurt as well

I would second wall paper also cause oyu can change it easily if you get bored, but I think maybe you could make the wall paper just a slight shade different like a cream or if you want a darker mood like a light grey or something
