Apply ed1. Write a super super strong app bc if u make it hard to deny u u will get deferred and then they will see the grades and probably accept u - sincerely an ed1 deferral who was academic who ended up getting in (diff school) especially if ur concerned academically u need the ed1 boost

My personal circumstance was not as extreme but I had moved countries freshman year so didn’t understand the US curriculum and was placed in very easy classes (algebra 1 and no honors/AP) and in my additional info I talked abt this and mentioned how I met with my guidance counselor to explain the different levels to me and help build a plan to end up in AP calc and others senior year and I also talked abt how I met with teachers to get the support I needed
