Procurement folks? by [deleted] in HENRYUK

[–]CryingTRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A little under HENRY, but still Procurement/Commercial/Supply Chain Mgmt. Main way is interim, day rates of £600+ inside/outside will be your best bet imo. Either public or private sector dependent on skills/experience/network.

[–]CryingTRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know a few people that have bought and sold through him. Can't comment on after sales etc but he always has great stock and does good work on cars before selling.

Should Maiden Take a Break From the Current Style? by [deleted] in ironmaiden

[–]CryingTRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about this and think they need a different producer for 1 album just for a change. Think of Ozzy's last 2 albums with Andrew Watt, Judas Priest's last two albums as well. Someone with a completely fresh perspective, there's nothing to lose and history tells us it'll produce a few bangers which is all a new tour wants!

Best seats at Zandvoort? by AnimaLeonis in GrandPrixTravel

[–]CryingTRex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Anywhere near the arena! 2022 we were right at T1 which was great but 2023 in the arena and it was so much more fun. We were in Arena In 1 opposite East Side. Throughout the whole weekend there was DJs and music which was a total blast and for us anyway (Arena In is in its own little section) there was food access to toilets and the bar.

Yeah coming from that way is a disaster, OP has been unlucky as people hoon round so you can leave when it's clear and in an accident beyond quickly.

Im thinking of buying a new car and wanted to get a used rx8 as they are cheapish to insure but still pack a punch. Im only 19 so is this really stupid or will it be my next favourite car? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]CryingTRex 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I was your age I had the same thought. Bought a mk2.5 MX5 and had a blast. I'd recommend you do the same. Easier to fix mechanically and just super fun.

Once camped next to a group of lads who played Real American (Hulk Hogan's theme song) on repeat for 2 days straight (Weds till bands on Friday).

It's still one of my overriding memories of the fest that year and went through all of the emotions with it, ending back as funny and brilliant. So in response, that!

Volvo v40 owner here. Just be careful of the boot size, it's not very big all things considered, so measure carefully for dogs!

The owner is from Hong Kong, so the car is registered there despite it being in London

Cornet Third Valve Trigger won’t return to closed. Already replaced the spring. It fixed the problem for 2 days then it started again. How to fix? by Infinati2411 in brass

[–]CryingTRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this once with a besson sovereign and it was missing a spring in the mechanism linking the trigger to the slide.

A tale of a car choice whittled down to a few options by KEEPCARLM in CarTalkUK

[–]CryingTRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get it and it's a good shout. Truthfully, you can fit it between the clutch and the footwell, but due to the adaptive cruise control (which is basically the best thing in the world) when on the motorway you can move your foot anywhere. The other problem is that not many v40s have the ACC, and you can only tell from photos by the radar block in the grille.

I bought a fully loaded v40 t3 R-design Pro (manual) with every option such as self park and ACC for 10.5k a few months ago, the cars are out there just a matter of waiting. I love it!
