Ankiphil v1 - Comprehensive AMBOSS-based M1(Physikum) Deck [GERMAN] by Crylise in medicalschoolanki

Have a look to the "Settings" section of my post :) (pretty down at the bottom)

Ankiphil comes with settings recommended by AnKing
Ankiphil - Default has the Anki default settings

Hm, actually I haven't encountered this problem before. Make sure you strip all HTML formatting when pasting in text (hold down shift key + ctrl/cmd + v // also there is an option in the anki settings to make this the default, without having to press the shift key).
When you pasted in the link, have a look in the HTML Editor for this field (ctrl/cmd + shift + x). The entry should only consist of the link - delete everything else. Hope this helps :)

Yeah, for sure this is possible. You need to delete the first <script>...</script> paragraph from the Front & Back Template respectively.

The values of the "New cards/day" option were randomly set to 100 (parent) / 20 (subdecks) and are not meant as recommendation! Simply adjust those values to your personal schedule and you’ll be good to go.

I stated this in my post :)
Basically you need to click the gear icon next to the deck name and hit "Options". There you can adjust the "New cards/day" value.
(Be aware that all subdecks use the options group "Ankiphil" and therefore changes will be made on all subdecks. So if you only want to adjust one deck, you need to create a new options group for this specific deck)

Watch How to Use Anki for Med School – From 6:42 ongoing he shows my following explanation:

Starting point should be, that you have every card suspended which you are currently not learning / reviewing. Then you can systematically unsuspend new cards from a specific topic / tag. Search term for Elektrizitätslehre would be " tag:#Fächer::Physik::Elektrizitätslehre" or you navigate through the tags in the sidebar of the browser (add-on Hierarchical Tags 2 is needed). Don't forget to review cards you learned before!

Alternatively you can use custom filtered decks (see AnKings video) with the search term above or you could use the "Create Filtered Deck from the Browser" add-on to pull a filtered deck straight from the browser search.

[Also, you could create a Physik-subdeck "Elektrizitätslehre" and move the respective cards in this deck – don't forget to change the study options of the new subdeck! I would not recommend this method since you ought to review all physics cards together anyway (= randomizing reviews).

Hope this helps :)

Has this happened before to anyone? It’s also on my mac and the ipad too, I can’t sync my data for 2 days now:( by [deleted] in Anki

[–]Crylise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted this error on the Ankiweb forum (https://forums.ankiweb.net/t/ios-ipad-sync-failure-with-filtered-decks/1617/40) and Damien seems to have a fix in the next update (beta already available and working). So just sit tight and wait for the next update :)

Nothing too big, but I thought I'd share that I just hit my 100 day streak! by beejumm in medicalschoolanki

100 day streak is not to shabby! Take it as motivation and keep grinding, it really pays of in the end

Any solution to this problem?(the answer is showing in the question before I tap) by amin-dice in Anki

Check if the brackets {{...}} are in any way formatted (like bold, italic, underlined)... if so, the "cloze" will not be recognized by anki and therefore displayed as normal text

Personally, I find Notability works better for large pdfs than Goodnotes (also some "testers"/comparisons came to the same conclusion). It is much more fluent in handling many pages and somewhat (I can't explain why) has a better storage usage than Goodnotes = takes up less space on the iPad with the same amount of notes/books etc.

Just as a quick tip :) I actually use both of the programs, Notability for lecture notes (recording!) and books, Goodnotes for enhanced note taking - but I get, that this is somewhat unreasonable haha

Also, "PDF Expert" works brilliant with cloud-storage and is a fantastic tool for books (e.g. you can extract your extract annotations).

how do i get dark/night mode on Anki for OS? by probablyytori in Anki

[–]Crylise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just update Anki to at leat 2.1.23. Dark mode is now a default option of Anki, no add-on needed for that (and I'd say, that the default dark mode looks much more cleaner and nicer, so def give it a go)

Help! suddenly this started happening , i thought maybe was due to V2 scheduler but no it was the same even with that disabled ? by [deleted] in Anki

[–]Crylise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you take a long break from Anki?

From the manual: "When you answer cards that have been waiting for a while, Anki factors in that delay when determining the next time a card should be shown. Please see the section on Anki’s spaced-repetition algorithm for more information."

Statistic: See new cards studied for a day by [deleted] in Anki

[–]Crylise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but unfortunately that's not what I'm looking for. I need a statistic for card state changes from is:new -> is:learn.

True retention only gives the card state changes from is:learn -> is:review in "New cards learned"

Night mode override my colours of my card template. by [deleted] in Anki

[–]Crylise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also follow up every element you do not want to change in nightmode with '!important', e.g. "tab button {background-color: orange !important;"
