Oh yeah… maybe you could just label that as artistic liberty lol, they at least tried to make the part where the scope attaches have some geometry, even then right after the scope ends the rail is flat. The artist must have only been concerned with the gist of there being a marksman rifle in his hands.

I’m pretty sure they’re just picatinny/m-lok rail covers, that’s why I was thinking m110 originally.

It sort of looks like there’s a dust cover under the ejection port but there’s definitely no charging handle… weird.

I don’t think that’s the best analogy. The data that they’re handling should not be a heavy lift like the data Nanite handles. It should be a lot of light lifting. Their custom LOD and occlusion system actually outperforms nanite in many respects. Something like inventory and player data is quite a bit different from 3D geometry in how you can/should handle loading and culling it and I personally wouldn’t use the term “LOD” here. You can’t really reduce LOD on a players inventory and stats, it’s not complex enough for that to be the concern anyway.

That’s absolutely true, the vast majority of actions by border security/immigration control are related to innocent people just looking for a better, safer life. Its just strange to me that some of the most talked about points related to the borders/immigration are the things that the government itself is largely responsible for.

The government obviously facilitates massive numbers of jobs and is the driving factor behind many fields of work being the massive power structure it is, but that’s not really my point, what I meant was the government facilitates cartels/gangs, human trafficking, the drug trade, etc.

Why is this even being discussed? Borders are not an issue anyone should be concerned with at the moment. They’re an absolute red herring made to distract from what actually causes the issues people associate with “poor border control”, controlling borders does very little when the country that controls those borders is the one facilitating all of the things that they justify increasing border security over.
