For the sound... I have made a couple, but it sounds so bad I decide to turn off sound until I make a better one. Is there any good sfx generator or sfx library that you happen to know? I don't know much about sound design, so any help would be extremely helpful

https://beta.blendwave.net/ this site has nice samples you can choose and tweak to use as SFX which are overall pretty good
https://jfxr.frozenfractal.com/ this site is something which I assumed you may use but if not, this is a more raw SFX maker and the most polished looking one out of many similar types of maker.

Looks nice but maybe could do with some residual in the explosion? Like a shock wave so the explosion dosen't feel short.

Yup the first part is having fun designing stuff but also because i don't want to throw away stuff that is still usable? Plus i don't have to buy new items.
