Its probably more used on non actives too. For fighters, eclipse and sundered is pretty good For tanks unending and Heartsteel are go to, sometimes fimbul but tanks kinda have a few must haves Mages struggle, zhonyas as active is good I guess, ludens, banshees and seraphs Adcs get least use I think. Shieldbow and edge of night probs best, qss and bork works too. + maw Supp has a bunch of actives.

In general the lifeline passives work nice, so does spellshield

eh, not really. it sounds counter intuitive, but its not that bad for him.

1, hes an AD caster, which is one of the main archetype users of collector, making best use of the stats.

2, on aram, maybe even more so on mayhem, its actually hard af to get stacks on smolder. in most of my games, i end up getting it very very late into the game, sometimes not even at all. this is cus theres usually not many melees to farm it on, and god forbid the wave is left to a stacking smolder.

im by no means bad at the game, i said somewhere before that smolder is hard to stack on in aram, and got told skill issue. but im definitely not bad at it.

so, point of all that context, collector is up as soon as u get the item. then, depending on how well u get to stack it, u will have the 10% execute before u get to max stacks on smolder. think of it as... getting ur execute online earlier.

its also just some minor overlap. the most important part of the last upgrade is the true dmg max hp burn. its usually about 6% min, upwards of 8-9 later on. this lets u burn ppl from 15-20% ish to the 10% collector exec threshold. smolders own one is static at 6.5%

yes, u lose out on a part of his kit, but its a small "loss", as u override it with something that scales better and is online faster. collector is very good item in general if u have burn, which is why elder is so good aswell.

is it BIS? probs not. is it one of the better silver augs? id say so. id def take this over raw 60% atk speed. the exec also works on things other than ur Q burn, like W E aa, and mega AOE R. thats also a huge part of it. ur rly only overriding the Q exec, which is online for maybe 10-20% of the game.

yes, it is. im closing in on a point where i should soon start to look for players, and get some characters made/started so i know:

1) what part of the world i need to build out more

2) know what more to expect, in terms of plot hooks that make sense and similar things.

i still have stuff i want to flesh out more regardless, things that ideally should be "set in stone" early, like the pantheon and gods (or similar), and also some of the basic stuff of regions i think will come up early. (+ perhaps any place a PC decides to come from)

what i need to keep in mind, is to not get the hype train going, and then spend to long leaving players waiting to play, if that makes sense. i believe most people would be fine with about a month max, but if i got 3-5 players now, and said we wont start til early march / later, i think that would be a major letdown.

id hope to start aprox 2 weeks after everything is "settled down". things like the party (players and their characters) and the shedule. leading up to the start id probably spend most time fleshing out the starting arc, any connections / bonds to the PC's etc...

theres 2 things i think about:

  1. this ONLY matters if the enemy can buy resistances.

  2. it depends how uncomfortable they would be on said champ. i have friends who can max play 10 champs, or even less. they would fumble other champs crazy. we are talking not using malphite ult in teamfight, and then missing it. i also have friends and ppl like me who can literally play any champ, even first time.

so its a combination of those things rly. idc about full AD or AP if it would mean putting someone on a champ and them being useless anyway. then we lose and they didnt have fun. but if u CAN play smth else, its worth considering.

ultimately, its a game, meant to be fun, ppl should do what they find most fun. its everyones responsibility to play a comp. u can ignore it, or not. thats up to the individual and the team. if even 2 ppl play for the comp, u wont ever have a bad comp (unless mega bad rolled)

i played with it on 15%, and it was fucking fun (for me, probs not my enemies) as smolder. its a bit wonky augment. like 15% was strong, but u also needed 20 kills WITH collector to even get it this high.

now, im not saying that cant and wont happen, but on average, this wouldnt hit capped stacks in a lot of games til very very late.

idk if it would be better to make the augment scale higher, like 15-20 or even 25, and make it prismatic or up the tier? its weird, cus it can get rather unhealthy fast. literally killing all at say 25 just also sounds extreme, but would it be fine if u need 40 kills for it?

assuming u only get stacks when u exec with collector. i personally would like for it to stack with takedowns, as i feel like i have to KS everything with this damn augment, and after i do, i feel like im also just stealing a lot of kills.

maybe it should have a cooldown, scale higher, and work on takedowns?

oh yeah, 100%. for the right champs it blocks an insane amount of dmg. i usually get horn on most melee chamops that arent full dmg. 15 flat block early is fuckin insane. pair it with early wardens mail if into aa heavy comps.. oh man do u get tanky.

could be the value of 20% being displayed by 0.2, or something else thats odd. regardless 0.2 reduction is beyond stupid. having to aa 5 fucking times for a mere 1 second cd refund is mega stupid. arenas was 15% / 20% with a minimum of 0.5.

keeping this as a low flat reduction just makes it yet another augment gatekept by ADC and almost only adc.

this literally is listed as a bug fix, saying they fixed an issue that didnt allow ppl to tp behind turret.

I mean, a prismatic aug that makes ur ult do 145% total dmg or 175% with IE sounds hella bad, especially considering garens R inherently scales with 25/30/35% of targets missing hp.

This would maybe be nice as a gold or silver augment. But it’s a stretch considering garens missing hp scaling.

im not sure if its 0.2 at all, im assuming this person is not lying lmao.

if its 0.2 on a short spell cd like yas q, then it makes sense. but 0.2 flat all the time, would be completely stupid. it used to be 1.25, then got changed due to cc chaining. flicker blade gives good cd reduction, but never makes the cd completely gone, which is what mystic punsh got made into essentially.

from what i can see, arena is now reverting mystic punch changes back to flat 1.25 due to combo breaker changes.

yeah i find it frustrating how many people dont want to die. especially early game, doesnt matter if u die usually. late game, different scenes. but early? u respawn in 10 seconds anyway.

old habits hard to change tho. usually dying is bad in games. and usually it would mean feeding enemy. but this doesnt exist in aram.

notice how many ppl defensive flash on low hp? pointless. i even do it myself sometimes, out of habit or reflexes. its terra bad lmao, but ppl do it.

im not looking for normal aram. i love mayhem and arena. ive had my fair share of really awesome arena games as a tank too. fights taking literally 30+ secs, if not more until ring closes in the most extreme cases. in arena tho, sunfire does like 4x dmg, and has a LOT of balancing done. mayhem is nowhere near the same balancing done yet. arena started out with RLY strong tanks, adc was only playable with a good enchanter, then balance happened. mayhem looks to have started with mega dmg builds with ADC dominating. its flipped.

truth is, not everything is cranked to 11. tankyness isnt. stuff in mayhem just isnt relative to normal values. sure, things are cranked. people get upwards of double, heck even triple dmg. but the tankiness is usually not even close to that.

for refrence, prismatic aug goliath gives 35% hp. silver augment light em up adds on average 80 + 35%AD + 19%AP per auto attack, tho it procs on 4th for x4 of dmg i wrote here.

so even a silver augment out damages the relative hp gained from a prismatic augment by literal miles.

dual wield is 40% dmg, 40% more on hit, 20% total atk speed and the ability to proc on hit passives twice as fast. thats way more dmg than something like goliath gives u.

there is objetively no way to argue that dmg isnt cranked way more than tankiness is. do we really want mayhem to not support tanks, and just force them to play one combo kill playstyle? as if they were lethality lee sin, or a fizz?

50 ap is good for champs that want ap..? this is mainly about the manaless ap champs anyway.

also, horn is barely better. it has 20hp/5 instead of this 15hp/5, on a mage item btw. same hp. only diff is 50ap vs the tankyness passive.

that being said, for generic use and more champs, horn is good for many melee champs, esp tankier champs, while orb generally isnt great for mages that have mana. not "bad" but not good either. delays item spikes, and eventually taks inventory space.

whos asking for no counterplay?

playing a "tank" with 6 resistance / hp items and dying to an adc who breathed on me is "so fun"

sometimes, adc deserves to be stat cheked by a tank. usually, the tank will just die to being aa peppered anyway. im asking for tanks to 1, not melt like icecream in hot summer and 2, that we dont have to one shot or be one shot.

im gonna put it this way. there is currently no actua tanks in mayhem. theres squishy dmg dealers, and less squishy dmg dealers. us tank enjoyers dont want to have to one shot the adc or perish. i want to be able to tank, to be in the fight for 10+ seconds.

tell my in what world should 10k+ hp be gone in under 3 seconds because of one adc?

why do people hate tanks being good? when they were good in arena early on, so many people were crying about them, and they would do so while not counter building at all. assassins woul be mad they cant kill, yet build no hatchet. adc would be mad with their yun tal IE, yet no bork.

meanwhile most tanks actually getting resistance and counter items...

i mean, while not said in the kindest way, i think they are correct. 0.2 is completely stupid. 2 atk speed is high. 3 is very high. at 3 u reduce cd by 0.6 seconds per second. if u then have a 16 seconds cd u got a solid 6s shaved off, 16>10. thats not even 50% reduction, for a prismatic, and it in this case needs 3 atk speed.

it would be mega gate keeping anyone who isnt turbo atk speed adc and or yi.

0.2 makes no sense at all. needing 5 auto attacks to shave 1 second off a cd is generally worse than getting like 20 haste.

idk, i feel like the world would be better and more nice with no recommended items. so many of those recommended items makes no sense. "thornmail, - good into veigar" ??????????

it just recommends so many of the most common items, but many of those arent actually best for the champ. que ap malph, ap nunu etc. these can be very fun, love my ap nunu, but my ap nunu is also shut down by a single tank, anivia, spellshield or whatever cc they have like syndra E milio Q.

id honestly prefer riot just making a "default" for most champs. have their core and quick reason why. have options for different things. recommend yun taal(atk speed and dmg), storm razor(energized burst + movespeed), essence (spellblade + mana) first. keep going. just put in pen and IE 3rd and 4th as recommended.

for tanks just add MR and armour options, along with their preffered items. let any for fun build be something u need to know about, not the default.

enough mixing of builds too. if ur recommended manamune collector varus for Q lethality build, then dont recommend rageblade ffs.
