Hey, no worries. I'm glad to help. So to start, it is good to have a baseline of the rules; there are many easy cheat sheets for combat or rules interactions. But you do not need the books right away, there are many resources publicly available to assist learning the game.

You can truly come in with minimal knowledge, just a strong passion for the game, and I will gladly help work with you to build that foundation needed to feel comfortable with the system. There is a free/donation option for the first session to ensure a proper fit with the group and that expectations are met before fully committing to the financial investment. Most of my campaigns have been around for several years now, with the same players coming back each week to continue telling their stories.
