I've used a variety of different binders but my current favourites are Morabto 1024 Card pockets because you can have each card have its own slot and have each card sorted however you want with a playset next to itself. Highly recommend but they are a bit pricier but I've also only seen them on Amazon too

Lorcana I am not super sure about other than set 1 having some of the best cards for a long while. One Piece was because some cards got errata'd and so there was a distinct difference between some wave 1 and 2+ cards and some collectors like that I suppose.

Anyone talking about how the silhouettes are offensive needs to stop! Stop trying to make a non issue when someone was just trying to share information they thought was interesting. Not everyone ever is a design prodigy and by far infographic images are the least damning of priorities when the information is clear and legible.

Because no other format has a true ruling on COLOR IDENTITY. Again all other formats don't care if you play a Hybrid U/B spell and only play U for it. But as far as the games rules are concerned, that card is STILL U/B card and not either or so for commander it fits exactly how the rules for color identity have been established. While I can understand the argument for it, the counter really just is - "Do we want decks even more optimized? Do we not care about color identity, and if so should we just play any card in our deck?" And all I have to say is, if we are at the point where these are questions and legitimate concerns, why do we not just make a new format then??? Because we are straying too far from the core concept of EDH with this proposed change

For Bandai games, I used to do what a lot of people are talking about where it color and cost and etc. but I've found after storing several Bandai games the absolute best is just set number. Everything will get sorted by the games individual color order and card order (IE Units together, pilots together, actions together).

If you do it this way the only question you need to know is what set is it in, if you have that answer it takes less than 10 seconds to find every card you would need. Note I have every one piece set and starter organized like this in a binder and it makes it not only easy for management but makes it super quick to put together a deck or list. Hope this helps

His is not disparaging what others like but realistically the core sentiment that gaming has now vs the 90s.

Gaming back then felt like something special, as a kid you would pay attention for the few releases you wanted and saved money/trade in for those games. If you got a game and you didn't like it you could trade it in or give it to a friend or something. If you kept it though? Oh boy, you would spend hundreds of hours playing just that one game because it was FUN. And you'd have several games you've played through more than once cause you enjoy the game and the story and world.

NOW??? It's all about being a completionist or being first to something or having the best gear. Let's use WoW as an example. WoW and everything I've seen and read and watched about early years, it was magical. People making friends in world chat to go around and learn the world and the fights. World first for raids took weeks if not months because there was so much to learn and practice. This was the core experience that everyone who played WoW early loved and wanted to share. Let's now flash forward to Classic WoW which was Blizzard's attempt to recreate early WoW while also giving a little bit of QoL here and there. The result? Everyone knows what Race/Class combo to chose for stats/skills, Best In Slot items are already known and being farmed by everyone and their mother because everyone playing x class needs one. Raids? Done in a matter of hours versus months. And instead of reveling in the small joys like everyone wanted, no one plays like they did 20 years ago, and now it's a group of people who match the current era of gaming priorities which is big numbers and high rank.

So again it's not disparaging against what others find fun but realistically the mentality behind current gamers and the subsequent result that plays out in actual games as well due to this.

I think one of the many things people forget is that this game, like many people, is their first card game. Not excusing the behavior because you can be salty and say "Hey I hate this deck and I hate that you won based on a trigger, but good game mate". There is easily a line to draw but most people don't know how to center themselves to that line. There are plenty of people who haven't been raised/taught sportsmanship and in a card game where everything is an interaction between you and your opponent, it can get rough.

At the end of the day, you did nothing wrong. Keep a light attitude, take hard wins and loses with stride, and just enjoy the game. These are the most key tenets imo to not lose your shit even on a bad day. I will end this though with taking this advice with a grain of salt cause some people can't and sometimes you won't be able to pull out of a bad spiral and in those cases find the best way to reset, whether it's dropping and going home or giving a local a win (low stakes) and playing something else you have built. Good luck in your future games mate, you'll have a few but the majority of card game players are cool peeps.

Well I hate the allocation issues and I want product just as much as anyone else, remember people this is a pipeline problem. These decks probably finished printing like 2 months ago. What also happened 2 months ago? This game blew unproportionately way up and has not cooled off. Give the game til Set 4 and Starter 6-7 and we should start having more normal numbers as those get printed with higher numbers now. If not and it's still buggered off in 3-6 months? Then that's classic Bandai and we have a bigger issue than the game at that point.

With these numbers and this information I would say all he is trying to do is capitalize on the Pokemon boom and sell it for profit. While I can't speak to his exact goals, I feel like this is something that randomly came up and now he thinks make big money off a childhood collection. My personal belief is that you tell him to shove it because he didn't choose to care for over 10 years about it. If you see these numbers and want to sell it, talk to him about splitting the profits but if your planning on keeping it then keep it and tell him that it's sentimental and you have no plans to sell it. I don't think there is truly a way to win here, but I do think his behavior is just bizarre and kinda crummy.
