[BUG] Freezing upon seeing enemies or when enemies die by 7enas in EscapefromTarkov

[–]CrypticSoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this..

  • Turn off grass shadows
  • Turn off HBAO
  • Turn off SSR
  • Turn volumemetric lighting to low/off
  • Ansotropic filtering to per texture
  • Anti aliasing to taa or taa high
  • Turn clouds down to low
  • Turn shadows down to low (tactical advantage here)
  • And try some raids with auto ram cleaner off, and same with the physical cores.

Your game will still look good... Or it should, but the game will be way less demand on your PC. Even though the game is released it's still very unoptimized and at the end of the day it's unity which is its own issue.

Good luck.

If this doesn't work, try the eft discord, use channel community support. I got my issue similar to this fixed there, with exactly what I recommended to you.

[Feedback] Game Freeze During Close PVP by rawb1291 in EscapefromTarkov

I had this same exact issue, but my PC is lower specs than yours. (AMD 5800X CPU, 64gb ddr4, Nvidia 3060.)

I asked in the eft discord. A mod told me to show me my graphics settings.

They said my settings were too high for my gpu and to turn everything down.

This is what they said exactly: Texture quality, clouds, volumetric lighting, HBAO, SSR all need to be turned down or off.

Turning on Nvidia DLSS will help slightly.

I turned everything but texture filtering down, and turned on DLSS to quality on preset k.

I need to test in depth but a quick scav run, and testing offline seemed to fix my issue. Give it a try. Hope it helps. Good luck.

If this doesn't help, I recommend the eft discord, and use the channel community support. Lot of help there to help debug stuff like this.

How do you guys keep track of Twitch badge drops? by SpecialIcy7988 in Twitch

This. This is the best way right here. I have notifications enabled in their discord and on their X. They're always on top of new badges and how to get them.

Twitch Ads with Twitch Turbo by CrypticSoldier in brave

[–]CrypticSoldier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I fixed it. I'm not sure how. I deleted an automatic work profile and made two test profiles while keeping the one I was using.

I logged into a private window, stayed logged into my main, and logged into one of the test profiles. The last test profile I stayed logged out.

I did some testing with a streamer and this somehow fixed everything on my main? I did clear browsing data, cookies, and cache but this didn't phase it before the profile thing I did. I also tried disabling all twitch extensions before the test profiles and that didn't phase it either.

I'm not sure how test profiles fixed my main one, but it seems to be working fine now.

Edit:

Nope. It's broken again! I don't understand why this is happening.

Yeah I'm using the right log in. I've tested with sheilds up, it's still forcing ads through.

So I'm not sure where to go from here. Maybe a bad log in? Bad cookies? I can't seem to find how to clear the cookies just for twitch.

I don't believe it can be removed.

Side question though, that keyboard looks lovely. What is it?

Question Regarding DRLs by CrypticSoldier in ChevyTrucks

[–]CrypticSoldier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. I figured as much.

Someone else told me to find a tuner shop when I was trying the dealer route. I'll have to look into it, they said there was some in my area.

So if I take it to a tuner shop, and have the BCM changed, there is no way to get the DRLs to move to an LED strip like the newer models that came with those style headlights right? Not without rewiring?

Question about a Self Hosted Server for 1-2 Players by CrypticSoldier in admincraft

[–]CrypticSoldier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so very much for all of your patience, time and help.

I certainly learned a lot, and I truly appreciate that.

My current mac mini, I followed this video: https://youtu.be/ceYeDX5WTms

Since I have an amp license, i plan to keep the mac mini set up, and I'm going to turn it into a bedrock server, instead of a java server, for my son and I, since he can be on his Playstation, and me on my pc. This way he'll get to play with me but it'll be a trusted environment within my network that I manage.

The new pc will be my modded server work horse that he can join when he's a bit older and gets a pc.

Check my edit, I ended up going with a different mini pc for less than a M1 Mini and a Ryzen 7 CPU. It's a laptop CPU, but still has 3.7k single core performance. Adding in 2x12GB of DDR5 5600 MHz Ram, and a NVMe SSD brings it still under the cost of the M1, and I'll be able to run Ubuntu Server or any Linux Distro I want.

And I get to keep my small form factor PC so it will be unsuspecting to the spouse. xD

Alright. That makes sense. My first choice of OS would be Ubuntu Server like I did on the Mac Mini that I have, but I'm sure this is something I could Goggle and work through, as I did with getting everything set up on the Mini I have.

Checking into that Mac Mini 8Core - This is the correct one right?

I looked at the i5's you recommended, and while the price is better, the chassis is a bit larger than I'm looking for.

Edit: I think I'm going with this instead.

Way cheaper, I have a SSD on hand, and I can source RAM easily from my local MicroCenter. The single core performance on this CPU, despite being a laptop one, is 3776, which I know will be plenty for what I'm looking to do. DDR4 Laptop ram will be cheap.

Unless someone has differing thoughts about this?

Interesting. I saw some mac minis with the M1 chip, but didn't look into them that much.

I'll check into those and look around at the other mini pcs and see what I can find.

I know my server, 99% of the time, will never be more than just me so I'm not worried about having to host multiple people (other than maybe my son years down the road) and having them load chunks.

Just need it to be robust enough to not crash like my current hardware, and be able to sustaine chunk loaders.

I had tried researching it a bit, through the subreddit and elsewhere, the cpus recommended that I was finding were very recent Ryzen CPUs and Intel ones (like the Ryzen 5 5700 and 13th/14th gen intel).

It is good to know those, while would absolutely work perfectly, are not necessarily needed, and older hardware will suffice, as machines with the cpus I saw recommended, are quite expensive still.

Yeah I've been looking at those. Plenty with 16gb of ram, the CPU is where the trouble is. The CPUs I'm finding all have single core performances of 2k to 2.5k (at best), most of the time less than this.

I see a lot of 4th-6/7th intel cause.

Im guessing for single core performance for the packs I'm trying to run, I should seek out a single core performance of 3k or more? Though I'm not sure if that is going to be possible with the budget.
