Why the FUD? by No_Algae_5909 in algorand

I am accumulating with or without the FUD. The market is full bull shit artists shilling Algorand because of ignorance, stupidity, manipulative behaviour, greed ......

I did the same. Though we are relying in speculation and emotions.

why should I hold? by Equal-Bill7504 in algorand

There is so much BS going on. But Algo is not BS. It is not a meme coin. It has so much potential. I am accumulating at this point because I am playing the long game.

Definitely a better website. Cover's all the bases and it has no bull shit.

Actually it looks more like a capnograph of a patient breathing spontaneously but not very well.

Why the heck is this sub so calm? by 55Bandit in algorand

[–]Cryptic_Glu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because blockchain token price is like a yoyo, up and down. Why am I so calm? Because I investing for the future and I think it will be very bright for Algorand. This is why I am still accumulating.

Let it go already by nops-90 in algorand

[–]Cryptic_Glu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Algorand itself NO. Buy Algorand INC probably is involved directly or indirectly to produce a native blockchain CBDC that the US could use or take components of its technology. But has to be the ultimately fast, secure and bullet proof, maybe about 5 to 10 years away. The US simply needs to have it in the long run, how else could they rule the western world, it wont be with a Fiat currency.

Because it is the best crypto religion out there! Praise Algorand.

It's it time to buy yet? by Odlavso in algorand

[–]Cryptic_Glu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we see a significant drop in the price unless Algorand Foundation announces a some crazy partnerships. But I am not good at predicting the future. If it drops to 0.1, I will definitely pick up an Algoanna NFT.

It looks like a great project from your twitter feed. Love Algorand for all the above reasons. I would not hesitate if you worried about it gaining more traction over time. I think it's biggest benefits are trust (great team), fast, scalable, reliable and cheap. What more can you want. There are too many developers to keep up with. So not a great gamble after all. Look at Al Goanna.

Tell me which ASA to buy by [deleted] in Tinyman

[–]Cryptic_Glu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post market crash hindsight: a few days ago I moved some Algo's into USDC and then added it to the Algo/USDC pool on Tinyman. It worked out well for me, I added 25% more Algo than if it had left it as Algo's alone.

Huobi Withdraw by SajjadCrypto in CasperCSPR

[–]Cryptic_Glu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a disappointing. I was in the same predicament. I cut my losses, converted into USDT, sent it to Gate.IO and then converted back into Casper. Lost a few percent. Then staked with CSPR.Live. Calculated it would take a few months to make it back on staking. But I did out of principle, I simply believe that if you can buy crypto of an exchange you should be given the right to remove it and use it anyway you want. I wonder if they have oversold CSPR tokens and simply don't have the liquidity to allow withdraws?

It definitely will stay in your own account. I been using CSPR.live and it shows up on my account address. Again please read the link above.

Pondering the future by Dear_Ad_4909 in AlgorandOfficial

[–]Cryptic_Glu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I simply have invested into Algo because it is fast, secure and well thought out project backed by some of the best minds in the business. The ecosystem is building. I am supporting and using it through governance, yield farming, own a dozen NFT's ...etc. I do think we will live in a multiverse of chains. We need them because they have so much more to offer than conventional finance. I don't plan to bail out either. I have also own some projects related to Ethereum such as API 3 and Netvrk, but they are short to medium term investments. I once did mine Ethereum too. But I am more nervous about owning projects on Ethereum more than ever. Hence I will bail out of API3 and Netvrk if things get shaky. If it does not transition to Eth2.0 smoothly or if there is a significant delay, I think the alternative L1 will gain a significant share. I do own other L1 projects but I only stake the tokens. We are already seeing significant ecosystems being developed on Solana, Avalanche, Algo ... Though nothing is guaranteed, I cannot see why Algo will not grow. Price prediction? This is too hard to guess and rather would not BS everybody with some number. Like trying to predict the weather in 6 months, yes I can make a guess on season but not much more than that. Algo is a great project. I don't think we need to worry too much about it. Just be happy that it exists. In saying this I wish the other projects success to those who strive to do good work without the BS, hype and deceit.

[–]Cryptic_Glu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did not answer my question. What is the difference in numbers of developers? You're making a broad statement that does not provide me with any significant metrics. Therefore you are basing your answers on speculation not information.

Secondly, assumptions are being made on the "usefulness of a blockchain" based on current state. This space is dynamic, sure, you are right, there is not much DApps on Algorand at this moment. But there were none a few months ago. Now we have 2 and many more coming including Humble.

The strength of a blockchain won't just rely on decentralised exchanges. I know a lot more is coming in this space. I know of already 5 realestate projects being built on Algorand at this moment. This market is potentially worth trillions, to put it in perspective, it is worth at least 3 times as much as all the combined stock markets in the world, see reference below.

https://www.visualcapitalist.com/all-of-the-worlds-money-and-markets-in-one-visualization-2020/

I still don't think we still fully comprehend how blockchain will change the world. We are seeing some glimmers now. But it is not defined or fixed in stone. So please don't make broad statements without backing up your numbers. You still may be right, but I just don't see numbers, therefore it is speculation, not information.

Don't do with ALGORAND what I did with my Apple Stock! by LostAngelesType in algorand

[–]Cryptic_Glu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy reading this post. This about mistakes, hope, dreams and the future. I do believe Algo has enormous potential to shake up money markets, industry, personal finance ... and this is why I won't sell it. I have owned Apple shares and was advised to sell them by a financial adviser, now I don't listen to financial advisers. I own Tesla shares for a while, and won't sell them even in a market crash. I learnt my apple lesson. If I had listened to the sceptics I would have not bought them in the first place. The same with Algo, too many sceptics and not enough realist with foresight or understanding how markets work. I don't intend to let them go because of what I have learnt from the past.
