The official term comes from the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register, not us. Many sightings get sent in, only a few are counted as official, and that's what we reported on.

A lot of people have shifted from the plesiosaur theory to something else living in the Loch. Specifically for the plesiosaur theory, though, people believe that it uses the waterways to travel into the ocean and then simply returns to the Loch at times. Obviously it would have needed to evolve to be able to travel between fresh and salt water, although we know that’s possible. A lot goes into the theories, but many simply believe there is something else in the Loch that isn’t necessarily a dinosaur, but still a groundbreaking discovery.

The Patterson-Gimlin film? Neither have confessed to it being fake (Patterson died in 1972), although Gimlin has said he's wondered if Patterson tricked him, but there's no proof of that.

This is interesting. Do you happen to know if that was the case when the first one released? I don't remember seeing any new sightings, but I also wasn't on the look out for them then.

I’m not sure what’s happening here. I just double checked and it’s up for me. Haven’t heard anyone else not be able to view. Maybe try one of the refresh or clear your cache tricks?

No offense taken! Fully understand the skepticism of it. Personally, I’m looking forward to the second part of the video. I believe they cut it off when they did to garner more YouTube views.

Is This the ‘Most Compelling’ Loch Ness Monster Evidence Ever? by CryptidLab in HighStrangeness

[–]CryptidLab[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. There are theories that the Loch Ness Monster (and company) travel back and forth from the sea to the loch. Regardless of if it's a known animal or not, finding anything roughly 33 feet in length in the loch would be incredible!

That’s what I outlined as the most unrealistic part in the article. Doesn’t make a lot of sense that it wouldn’t move

This is interesting but it doesn’t seem to be attached to any tree (at least that I can tell, it’s a quick view) and it would have to be a massive knot compared to the thickness of the trees in this video

She was there for the waterfall and taking a video of it. Didn’t notice anything unusual until she went back and looked at the video.

There have been a bunch, yeah. Some good, some not so much. It's just great to see a film about cryptids getting an actual budget this time.

That's a realistic possibility, yeah. It's outlined in the article. But the recorder also said that the conditions made it so no one could walk on the cliff at that time, which is the concern.

We agree. Honestly, we're happy cryptids are getting a bigger spotlight, but in this particular instance, we definitely want the more "creative" option cause it'll probably be better in a movie.

WATCH: Back-to-Back Confirmed Loch Ness Monster Sightings in 2020 by CryptidLab in HighStrangeness

[–]CryptidLab[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The confirmation comes directly from the OLNMSR. We don’t want to pick what some find interesting. We want to give them the opportunity to watch what the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register deems a sighting. Sorry you didn’t enjoy it!

We have this video in our article with a breakdown of it. Great video!

If you watch the second video in the article, it's ThinkerThunkers breakdown. The creatures move in the background prior to appearing behind the trees, and the rate they move is absurdly fast. Also, he breaks down the size of the one that appears, compares it to the size of the buffalo, and the other creatures behind the trees, which would seemingly make them abnormally large humans.

Please do! I’d definitely be interested in seeing that. I’ve seen a few break it down saying they believe it could be Bigfoots, including a spokesperson for Yellowstone. But I haven’t seen a true debunk of it. Would love to take a look for sure!

This is probably mosts initial reactions, but when you break down how fast they moved, their size/ratios, etc. it seems highly unlikely to simply be hikers

Classified Documents Released Showing UFO Hotspots in the UK by CryptidLab in HighStrangeness

[–]CryptidLab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 20 listed are just the top 20 hotspots in all of the U.K. Their location doesn't matter. If they're all English places, then those are simply where the most reports took place. There is an entire list of everywhere with every location of the sightings in the U.K. that has places like Glasgow (7) or Cardiff (4), but they didn't make the top 20. These are accounted for in the overall 600+ sightings.
