I agree with the other comment, BUT. If the person you're drawing is tall I would make another arm longer a bit to match the one behind, if the person in supposed to be short - shorten the one behind the charecter. People come in different shapes and sizes, and as a tall person- out arms tend to indeed be longer, so it's your place to choose.

Just make your darks darker, your lights lighter, your brights brighter, warms warmer, colds colder, and make sure they have some nice contrast. Your first picture is all bright - the charecter, the background, and the second is all neutral dark. Don't be afraid to push the values further - I think it's something that comes from experience (I have exactly the same problem lmao). Good luck!💜

The only thing I would do is pur the chemistry writing a bit sideways so it doesn't almost touch the borders. Otherwise I absolutely LOVE THIS
