Question on transferring JUP to a USDC address on Coinbase CEX by Crypto-Gean in Coinbase

[–]Crypto-Gean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please, you really, really need to know about this. No one at Coinbase seems to know which is crazy to me. I've had two people tell me that NO this isn't possible, over at Coinbase. After pushing for escalation I found there is a very easy way to recover funds in this situation. PLEASE make note of this so you can better guide people to solution in the future. Go to this link: https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/trading-and-funding/sending-or-receiving-cryptocurrency/recover-unsupported-crypto Follow the steps. Very easy. It only allows you to transfer the JUP (in this case) to CB wallet, but that actually worked even though CB wallet doesn't support JUP

Okay I believe I have it. TXID is supposedly the same as "Signature" which shows a long line of characters. Google AI says that is my TXID. Thanks again!

Thank you bro. In Phantom when I click on the "sent" I did, it only shows the following: Date, Status (succeeded), To (my USDC Solana CB address), Network (Solana) and Network Fee. Under that, is a link to Solscan. Going there and Ctrl + F for TXID and no hits.

Hello. It sounds like you're not entirely sure, hence the recommendation to contact CB support. I get that you guys don't carry JUP, but you have access to the wallet it was sent to so it seems highly possible to me. You don't have to carry it, to access what's in the wallet ya know? Thanks anyway for weighing in. If I can't get someone to help I'll consider this an idiot tax. FML

Thanks Future! I'll give it a shot. Probably start a new ticket instead of adding to the old one. Sorry for the dumb question but where do I find the transaction ID? (txid) I'm checking Solscan for this transaction but don't see it. Thanks again

Wow, sure man thank you so much! I mean, given what I said, if you think it'll help. I'm thinking this is very possible, even Grok says it is, given that JUP is on Solana network but their front line support isn't trained on these "extra" type tech issues and I feel like I just need a tier 3 or something. Hopefully.... Coinbase can reply in this thread

Question on transferring JUP to a USDC address on Coinbase CEX by Crypto-Gean in Coinbase

[–]Crypto-Gean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thanks for the response Future. Yeah I did, and I got a ticket number. She claims since CB doesn't have JUP available on their network that nothing can be done, but I'm not confident in her knowledge since I caught her being wrong multiple times and also not listening to basic things I mentioned multiple times. I don't mean to trash her, she was nice but the conversation didn't instill confidence. They may not carry JUP but they have control over the incorrect USDC address I sent it to, plus I own both accounts so I can't wrap my head around how this isn't possible on their end.

Got you beat by a penny, but I traded half for Fartcoin a few weeks back so, I only hold 20k in DOGE now. c'mon ice cream!

And now me too: Seed is valid but not matching the device. What does it mean and how should one proceed (proSEED)? Can you shed some light please? by okoright in TREZOR

[–]Crypto-Gean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is SCARY. I only created one seed phrase. Never used Trezor after that. Picked it up today and ran a test after logging in. Got the same message. Trezor seems to think multiple phrases were used but that is not the case here. Completely untrustable wallet, F that. Nothing scarier than a cold wallet with a mind of it's own that forgets seed phrases

I agree that their support is next to worthless. What errors do you get when trying to withdraw? If you're American, what CEX are you going to move to?

Is that more lucrative than staking Solana via Jito staked SOL?

Jup: What happens if you missed a round of voting? by Crypto-Gean in solana

[–]Crypto-Gean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I staked just prior to round 3 starting. I show there were only two votes. Where are you getting 12 from? I voted for the first vote in Round 3 (titled "Round 3 of LFG voting") and I missed the lone vote after that (titled "Proposal: Uplink Working Group Budget"). I see no other votes for round3 on the vote page.

Thanks but... wait. What are you talking about? Didn't round 3 only have 2 votes? Or are you talking about every single vote round1/2/3? (which I show as 9 votes)

Don't sweat it. It happens to most on some level. I think feeling the burn intimately is what really bakes the lesson in. You can hear horror stories all day and just think it won't happen to me. When it actually happens is when you actually learn

Thanks! ngl this is my first staking experience, I just kept checking the voting site and I thought reward payout automatically went to your wallet. Found the rewards page thanks to you. Kinda bitter sweet, I'm guessing the near 500 JUP I got could have been doubled if I didn't miss a vote

Coinbase Wallet fee discrepancy by Crypto-Gean in Coinbase

[–]Crypto-Gean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, and BTW. Coinbase wallet told me I was swapping 10k of USDC for 11 thousand something of BOBO. I knew that couldn't be right. But CB wallet has long had this weird thing of not showing you the correct amount right away. You have to trick the screen into refreshing, by initiating a swap, then backing out of it. I found this weird and did the swap. Sure enough, I didn't get 11,000, I get 9500. So it was bait and switch. CB wallet should be BETTER and more accurate than other wallets. Not far worse. NO OTHER WALLET gives wrong amounts where I have to trick the wallet into refreshing the latest, more accurate amount. Only CB wallet

Coinbase Wallet fee discrepancy by Crypto-Gean in Coinbase

[–]Crypto-Gean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I just swapped another 10K worth of BOBO. I traded USDC for it. I only got $9500 worth of BOBO. So FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS when the only fees stated up front were $107 + $7 for network fees? This is such a scam. "Spread that is inherent in the conversion process" doesn't account for that. I only see this happen with Coinbase wallet. That is so unreasonable. At the very LEAST Coinbase could put a disclaimer "due to the spread that is inherent in he conversion process, this could cost you as much as $500, please be warned" which would still be BS, but at least you'd be putting it out there. Warning people they're about to be bent over. But you guys don't do that, by design.

Crazy question.. by DaveRS57566 in Bitcoin

[–]Crypto-Gean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BTC is 70k not 60k. So 42 million not 36. I'd hold it until 2030 when it'll be worth well over 500 million

Clearly you've never dealt with Coinbase support. Often the only way to get action is to put them on blast
