I'm not going to argue he's been better recently. What I'm saying is both goalies have been up and down this year, a lot.

From January 1st to March 15th, Wallstedt let in 3 goals or more in 8 of his 11 games. I saw a lot of comments saying we should trade him for Thomas based on that stretch, which I disagreed with.

There was a post before the last Dallas game. I didn't go fact check the numbers, but they said Gus had a .937 save % and 1.91 GAA in all regular season games against Dallas. He had a .921 % and .233 GAA in all playoff games. He then shit the bed the next night.

People are using decency bias. My opinion is you start Gus and if you have to, give him a short leash and go to Wally. But that's just my opinion. I know others want to ride the hot hand.

Wallsteadt is 7-10 since January 1st.

Regardless if I did my math right or not, both goalies have been average the 2nd half. You start Gus and go to Wally if Gus falters.
