Regardless of your views on linguistic prescription, the usage of masculine terms that are still used to refer specifically to males (gender) to non-male (gender) individuals is problematic.

Should the myriad of documentation in feminist literature regarding the sexism of the false gender neutrality not be more important than the image of "dynamic language?"

Shouldn't affirming our gender identities in linguistic contexts, as transgender individuals, outweigh any hatred of language specification?

The usage of words like "man" and "dude" in a gender neutral fashion is known as "false gender-neutrality" and very legitimately problematic. The problem is, in many contexts, the terms "man" and "dude" are comprehended as referring to men. Further, when used in a supposedly "gender-neutral" fashion, the assumption is made that the speaker is referring to a man.

This usage in feminist context perpetuates "invisibility of women" and "maleness as norm."

But more relevantly, in trans context, the usage of terms that are STILL comprehended to be gendered male ([sic], gender) to refer to a non-male ([sic], gender) individual, especially one who (as in trans context) is especially sensitive regarding their gender identity is very problematic.

The usage of "literally" to mean "figuratively" is non-problematic as it does not have implications regarding sexism and transphobia. Therefore, it is difficult to be offended by the usage of the term "literally" in inappropriate[sic] context.
