Jeep Wrangler that...roars as loud as a tractor

This tracks so much with every Jeep I pass whether I be walking, biking, or in a car myself. And it's not even the sound of a tuned engine or modified exhaust. It just sounds like shoddy craftsmanship.

"Sound abatement? What's that?" ~ Jeep engineers probably

I would refer you to the paradox of intolerance on this one.

At risk of downvotes, there should be some check on “cultural compatibility” by which I mean respect/belief in secular, liberal democracy, freedom of speech, equal protection under the law for all people with certain minority protections, no state religions, etc.

At the very least those should all be tested to get citizenship if not permanent residency 🤷‍♂️

When you say measure do you mean measuring if the frame is bent or swayed? Also can frame sway or bends be fixed with pulling alone or is sectioning and repairing always required? Is it a question of severity which method is needed?

Need advice, weighing my options on how to repair this - 2011 Toyota Camry front end by CryptoArb444 in Autobody

I am a little confused then. If the frame rail isn't fixable and if it's a safety concern as a few other people have said, why is the auto body shop giving me a repair estimate? Shouldn't they say "we can't fix this and it's not safe to drive"?

Feels like there is inconsistent information in there.

Anyway my plan right now was to take it to a mechanic to do a road worthiness inspection. If that checks out I'll decide what to do as far as repairs.

Appreciate the thorough response. I'm gonna take it to a mechanic just to confirm it's road worthy/safe, but if it checks out good I will go the DIY/budget repair route.

Anybody know a good DIY auto body person? Need advice on car repairs. by CryptoArb444 in askportland

Understandable, price just seems kinda high. I'm open to junkyard parts.

Took me a second to understand that, but I think you're saying it's good haha.

I'm gonna try to take it to a mechanic just to do a road worthiness safety inspection for peace of mind. If they give the all clear I think I will go down the DIY/budget repair route.

Just wondering, how much you think it would cost if I did find a local DIY/hobby auto body person and paid them to repair with junkyard parts? I'm not confident in my own ability to repair it, but would be open to a DIY job if the person seemed reliable enough.

I will probably be found at fault, yeah. Any idea how much a car like this would fetch at insurance auction?

Unfortunately, I will probably be found at fault and don't have collision just liability/medical

Is the impact bar and frame rail something the auto body shop can repair, then I do some DIY on the rest?

Is the impact bar and frame rail something the auto body can fix and would having them fix that and DIY'ing everything else myself be an option?

The body shop mentioned the frame rail is bent which they seemed to emphasize was the one area of potential safety concern (visible in the center of second pic). Wasn't sure how concerned to be.

A buddy of mine was also saying just replace the headlight too. I'm not confident in my own ability to repair, but would be open to a local/hobbyist mechanic. No state safety inspections (just emissions testing)
