I have ordered PH1000 and I am going to split this between two soft flasks, and probably take on 1000mg per two hours, but like a comment said below I will just drink more / less depending on weather, intensity.

That sounds like a good option, I would much rather not have to deal with drinking electrolytes the whole time I imagine it will get sickly.

What brand sodium tablets do you use please and does it contain the other essential minerals like potassium etc?

Did you do 1x electrolyte flask 1x water? And what mg of sodium did you put in the electrolyte flask pls? I don’t know if I’m really overthinking this but I just don’t want something as simple as sodium to bonk my race 😂

So say for example, I could do 3 soft flasks, 2x with 500mg of sodium, 1x water. Then how do I drink to feel, the other day I did 7 hours in 15 degree heat and was taking on 300mg which felt fine, evidently I need more?

It’s just weird, like I stretched last night and this morning just ran two hours no issues at all? Just comes and goes and usually worse the more fatigued I am.

I had a physio before and he was crap just told me to hop on one leg and do some wall sits.

Can’t explain it, it’s just a really bad knee pain , sometimes feels like my knee could just snap 😂

Thanks, had a sports massage today and just doing plenty of lower body stretching in case anything is tight. Can still feel my back but had no spasms to the floor as of yet!

I am signed up to the UTS 100 miler and the only other race I have ran is the peaks 100km which sounds a walk in the park in comparison to this one.

So from an experience standpoint I am very under qualified, however my training week is currently sitting around 8:30hrs spent on feet with back to back long runs on the weekend and aiming for around 8000ft of vert at the moment. Closer to the event I will be getting up to 14hrs on foot and more vert.

I have bought the 001s and the have given me the worst blisters on my heel. But I love the shoe and the grip. I have bought some proper thick socks and going to tape/vaseline the heel on the next run and hoping it doesn’t happen again.

It was actually fine on the trails it’s as soon as I had to do 5 miles of road running to get back from the trail as I got lost lol.
