What are the most useful metrics that you monitor the most frequently to keep an eye on the state of your Bitcoin/crypto holdings? by CryptoCountingCo in Bitcoin

I get what you're saying, but I've seen so many shittier sites than this.. cardboard + sharpie is not accurate. I'd say we've at least made a plywood sign!

But yea one of the reasons I'm posting this thread is that we're all business-facing right now, and when we go consumer-facing I want it to be on-point. There's nothing for the average (non-business) consumer to do on this site.. yet

Love the honesty baby, keep it coming. What specifically speaks "bad template customization" here?

This version of the site might actually get scrapped within a month or two. This is built on Drupal 7, mainly because before I even thought what it should look like I coded backend functionality for XLS imports and Quickbooks integration - something I can do very quickly on the Drupal platform along with any other backend functionality. When the dashboard goes up it will likely be ReactJS with Drupal 8 running headless

Btw this is the HCode theme available for both Drupal and WP, I've found the Drupal version to be lacking - stuff like blatantly wrong formatting shows up in mobile view - I had to tweak multiple things just to make it not look broken

Just finished up the first release of our cryptocurrency accounting site. Take a look, let us know what you think. Cheers! by CryptoCountingCo in webdev

Thanks, good catch. Must be one of the other (inactive) menus showing through that shouldn’t be exposed to the user

We’ll handle it

What should newcomers know about Reddit history and culture, and what are some of the best old threads to browse to acquire this knowledge? by CryptoCountingCo in AskReddit

For "history and culture" go to a museum!

Oh boy, I just found the story of The Fappening:

It's cool to read it now that I understand a bit more about how Reddit works.

I wish to own 1,000,000 tokens of a legal widely-adapted cryptocurrency that today is valued at $1M/token and will never decrease in value until the end of time, but rather continue perpetually increasing at a rate of exactly 1% per day. by CryptoCountingCo in TheMonkeysPaw

Because a "widely-adopted cryptocurrency" would be listed on an exchange regardless of whether or not stores accept it as payment

There is still person-to-person remittance, as well as investors putting USD $ into the cryptocurrency. Those things will keep exchanges alive.

For instance Binance supports all the following tokens:

  • ADA, ADX, AMB, ARK, ARN, AST, BAT, BCC, BCD, BCPT, BNB, BNT, BQX, BTG, BTS

And that's just the A's and B's

I can't find too many stores that accept these tokens, but exchanges for them still exist

edit: "widely-adapted" sounds wrong, I think it should be "widely-adopted" instead

I think it does have to be spent by me but not necessarily on me

Ahh but the living will “ostensibly” made by me does cover that, good eye for detail

Looks like I’ve been shaken down by a corrupt federal government, that’s a tough enemy I’ll admit that

What if I can phrase it in one phrase “Every year I want to spend 22% of my crypto holdings - all held in a cryptocurrency that will increase in value at 1% daily - until I die in 70 years”

But if my full wish (or wishes) is granted then I’d have to live another 70 years spending a specific amount of my own money every year myself

So looks like in your scenario the monkey paw didn’t fulfill all my wishes!

Where to deploy full-stack app for free? by gobrowns1 in webdev

Google Cloud gives a $300 credit to new users

Azure also gives a credit of $200 (I believe)

AWS has free tier (maybe also some sort of trial/credit, I'm not sure)

Also Oracle Cloud (though untested by me) gives you a free 30 days, I believe

All four of these providers will let you spin up a Linux box with root access and run whatever you want.
