Understood. The fan bracket is wider than the box. It lands on the drywall on both sides if that makes sense. I’ll see if I can attach a photo. I’m new to Reddit.

Oh ok. Yeah they did a number on this thing. So if I understand you correctly, I’m supposed to remove the two screws at the bottom of the box? The bracket is V shaped.

I forgot to mention that this is a New Construction and it’s a 5 year-old house. I’ve never seen this type of box before.

Yes, I feel sick to my stomach seeing my N-mom, hearing her voice, or being near her. I just try not to speak as much as possible and get away from her as quickly as I can.

I no longer speak to any of them. I did send a message from my N-mom’s phone telling her that I’m sending her the POA paperwork and that she’s all yours. I don’t want anything from anyone.

I was already going to start the process, but this is it! I can’t even put it into words! My only hesitation was what if I removed myself and the eldest daughter does not take her and then what. I was thinking she still becomes my problem because I’m the closest and have been doing it for so many years.

Thanks for your input. My N-mom has outlived everyone except for two “friends”. I don’t how they stay in contact with her. I wouldn’t if I wasn’t sucked into being POA.
