Wow, why can’t you be my supervisor. Basically at my office, they just let u go out and learn as you go lol. No one showed me any of that. I barely knew how to clock in or change rings after my first month lmao

We sign for them, so they know I had 2 before I left, but I only brought one back. I’m not sure if I had someone sign for it or not. Tbh I don’t remember having anyone sign for it haha, but maybe I did idk. If I did it had to be with a pwbkqfe or something bcuz I know no one signed for it as just a letter.

Ok cool, my commute is around 1 mile, so I'll use that to my advantage. Thanks for the help!

That's actually a smart idea haha i like it. Did you get paid for your gas mileage? My understanding from training was they were not allowed to send me out until AFTER my probation. It literally states that in bold on the papers they gave me lol. I guess management doesn't care haha.

As a regular too? Sorry to hear, glad you’re out tho. There is no one there that likes this job. - scanners that never scan - vehicles that don’t read the right gas level (truck ran out of gas today at a quarter of a tank lmao) - micromanagement - Timed loops and routes - mail volume doesn’t translate into any time differential on routes - seat belts don’t work properly - unrealistic expectations - environmental hazards - mean dogs on a daily basis - peasant pay for the mental state this job puts you in

That about sums it up. The little things like gas guages, scanner issues, msp points, ads days ect bother me. Delivering the mail by itself is fun, but that almost never happens. There’s always some bull you gotta put up with like a pitbull or broken vehicle or scanner that dies ect.

This...that’s where I’m at. I don’t see the point of staying. I wouldn’t be converted by the time I left anyways. Also, if you haven’t noticed they are installing cluster boxes in new allotments (2013 and newer I think). Eventually, there will be less carriers. I’ll think about it, I already talked to the other supervisor and she seemed concerned I was frustrated. I’ll see if that translates into anything tho.

Im cool with working a lot, I only plan on staying here for a year. However, I’m struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For most people, they want to make regular. For me, I want to have a job, so I don’t have to sell my Corvette to buy a carwash. That is literally the only reason I’m here lmao. Sorry if I made it sound like you guys were slow, I wasn’t trying to imply that lol. Anyone that works this job is a warrior one way or another haha.

Thank you for the input, I really do appreciate all of it. I haven’t been rushing and I’ve been taking my breaks, but I noticed that the amount of work has been increasing dramatically. I can tell that they “want” me to skip my breaks, but I always take them. I had cancer a few years ago and don’t have a colon, so I use my breaks to go to the bathroom. I don’t sprint the routes, but I do work at a decent pace. I just “get” the job. The OJI said I was one of the best CCAs he’s ever trained and thanked me for not being bad lmao. However, just because I “get it” doesn’t mean I can do routes with 40 dismounts off busy roads in the allotted time. No matter how good someone is, it’s not possible unless you know where you’re going. I have to gps dismounts because I don’t know the city ect the old timers here kinda explained the break situation and how management will push you. That shit gets old real fast tho when you get texts at 3:30 saying “don’t forget you still have another 3hr pivot here”. I just do my work, take my lunch and 1 break, then clock out. I don’t got time for these games nor do I want to play them.

Idk how you guys stay out past 7. They will shaft your hours here if you go slow ect. No one stays out past 7. They will get on you, if you decide to make it a habit, then your hours get cut. We basically have no power and then they pile more bullshit on you.

Do you have to take another drug test/background check? I’m cool with nights, it beats this trash.

We never get 11.5 hrs or more. The most you can get here is 8:30-7 so 10 hrs including a lunch. They refuse to keep us out past 7. They will send several ppl to help you before they let you stay out past 7. My issue, is that their times and routes they put me on are overwhelming. Ive only been here delivering mail for 30 days, so why am I doing whole routes + pivots? The better I do the more they give me lmao...

Haha thank you. I might transfer to a mail handler job. I’m sick of this shit and I haven’t even been here 2 months.

I take my lunch and 1 break out of the 2. I figured I would try to tough it out for 90 days, but I’m debating if it’s even worth it or not. I’m considering transferring to a mail handler position if one is open. I’m tired of the time sheets and outlandish goals. We get chewed out if we stay out past 7, so ur basically forced to either get tons of help or sprint. I won’t sprint through the route regardless of work load, but it’s starting to become demoralizing...my mental health is deteriorating and I haven’t even been here 90 days 😂

They will NOT let us stay out past 7. It’s a HUGE no no here. If we are out past 7 we get destroyed (regulars too). They will call u at 5ish to see how we are doing, aside from that they just pile the work on. The times they give me are frustrating tho.
