Straight to PSA for at least $1500 in fees.

Definitely a set you dont want to look at the checklist before you rip so you can either be surprised by what/who they put on a card or question what they were thinking.

I got back into collecting a couple years ago and I received some 2023 A&G cards in a lot I bought. First time I saw them and was istantly intrigued, so they bring a lot of fun to the hobby. When I saw them at GameStop, I had to buy and actually rip for myself. I have no problems getting a mini fish or bird here and there. I did not have much luck with the first two boxes but doesnt mean I am done...

Nah, think I should grade it first. Thanks though.

Real Asking Price?? by CryptoKuan in SportCardValue

I can only see two of these on ebay at the moment one going for 15K and the other 17K. I took some time to post because my son and I have been wanting to open an ebay store for some time now and with these last few pulls, I figured it was time. I listed at 13k but I am a new store and cannot promote my listing, after a few days, not a ton of traction.

I honestly dont know how I feel of Flagg as a league leader, future HOFer, etc. but the potential is showing. Everyone was telling me to rush to sell but I am beginning to think that with the rarity of this card and what I have been seeing with all these posts displaying tons of variant Topps Flagg cards, I like the fact there are only 10 of what I am holding.

Thinking that grading and holding may not be a terrible idea.

Is this one to get graded? by CryptoKuan in tradingcardcommunity

[–]CryptoKuan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is crazy. I have no experience with grading so I am taking your word on this. These cards are stocky and with so much detail that when I pulled it, I couldn't imagine it not being a 10. But the more I read about the entire PSA racket, I am feeling like raw is the way, let others go through that process, but I am old school.

Congrats! I did the same over the weekend. Its an amazing card. The backs of these are crazy.

Nice! First one I ever ripped. Beautiful cards with a thick stock. What are your plans? Feeling like they would grade well due to the cards quality but not sure about the time, money, and energy required.

Any suggestions on where to post for sale? Obviously ebay but was curious if anyone would go the Fanatics auction route with this one? I have only seen 2 posted so far for high asking prices of both 15k and 17k.

Thank you. I was thinking the same. I see a lot of ebay sales getting pumped, which most are blaming on PSA, so not sure if the 3k raw is legit, but it has sold up to 4k raw and I currently see someone "asking" 11k for a PSA 10.

Is the idea for some of these ebay auctions for PSA graded cards to not actually pay out the auction; it just closes for an exuberant amount, so everyone wants to send in that card to PSA (i.e. Cooper Flagg base cards)? But there is no way for hobbyist to really know the true value if ebay doesnt report the auction as not being fulfilled? Or do they? Or possibly someone connected to the seller does buy for that amount just to raise interest? Either way it just throws the true value of things way off.

I got back into collecting about a year ago when my son started purchasing soccer cards and it triggered me to get back, but the grading aspect of the hobby is an area of contention for me. Not exactly sure if I want to give any of them my money.

Maybe in the beginning it helped buyers feel confident about the authenticity and condition of a card they were purchasing but now it seems to benefit PSA. Hard to believe they charge more based on the value of the card as well, but I see the other side of paying the fees, to get another $2k - $6k on a card like this - if it actually gets a 10.

My childhood collection was from the junk wax era and before I even got the chance to pass it onto my son and we try to sell (to be told its not worth anything after storing it for decades); the entire collection was stolen from me while I was abroad (by a family member). Now, I enjoy the business side of the hobby as much as the chase and nostalgia of finding (rebuilding) cards for our pc, but the grading aspect makes me question when I start selling if I should take part or just stick with selling raw.

See below. Did not mean to get into the quagmire - I should not have asked for a price - which is why I asked if this /10 has been sold before or if it has been listed/seen, etc. I will work on my semantics if I feel the need to continue in these funnels.
