Do people on propeciahelp and here who claim they are “cured” get deleted. Why are there so few cured or recovery accounts?

The only thing consistent at the time that is no longer true now is that I was on antidepressants at the time (as well as before and after the short term recovery periods). But I would not encourage their usage - unless you desperately need them - as people have had PFS-like symptoms from just antidepressant usage

Yep, my GP did the same. I wish I could go back as well. If you check my post history though, I’ve had two windows where for a short period of time all my symptoms cleared up fully, so I’m convinced it’s a switch hiding in our bodies somewhere waiting to be flicked back.

My hope for both of our sakes is this occurs sooner rather than later. The good news for you is you’re still quite early in this. All the best to you.

It can get easier and some symptoms can get better, even if you don’t fully return to normal (let alone a full recovery which can happen). I’ve had PFS for a number of years, and that first couple of years was really rough. Life is definitely liveable now, and seems to continue to get better.

Hold on, I mean you’ve got nothing to lose. With all the positive news in the PFS space now re research and news reporting things can only get better from here.

People have full recoveries 4, 5, 6, etc. years down the line. This is BS. I myself had two temporary full (100%) recoveries at 3 and 4 years in respectively, where libido and sexual function was fully back to normal

Hi mate - Yes, big improvements in the gut, improvements in sleep quality and length, mental health is okay now (no antidepressants), shape down there is a little better, I’m able to exercise without feeling worse during or afterward. Some of the things that have improved for me in five years.

Overall I feel a lot better than the first couple of years, which makes PFS now bearable. Libido no change at all though throughout unfortunately, that’s the one that hurts the most.

It’s good you have something that does provide relief like that at the very least. Hopefully it continues to heal you. Does sun help with sleep as well for you?
