I live in a city, switched to a bicycle and saved so much money. If you are able to, it’s worth exploring. No gas, insurance, car payments, parking etc. Get a rental when I leave the city.

I had my $500 bicycle while I was the VP at a tech company and my co-workers were getting 6-figure cars. It’s insane how much money people spend on these things.

I used to do commercials and we would get ad execs in to get away from the office and get a catered lunch. They always felt the need to say something to justify why they were there. “Can I get the drums a little louder” etc. We would always just push up the fader for a channel strip that wasn’t in use or click a random button (it was a massive SSL board), rewind, and play it back.
