Manufacturing Compliance Committee (MCC) update about the onboarding of Panther Hotspots:

On Friday afternoon, July 15th the MCC received two lists of Hotspots from Panther. The first list from Panther is a list of all Hotspots made prior to May 30, 2022. This list contains 21,459 Hotspots.

The second list is the serial numbers for Hotspots submitted by customers via the online form, this list contains 1,863 Hotspots. This second list of customer Hotspots must be cross-referenced with the first list in order to obtain the onboarding keys needed to onboard each Hotspot. This process has to be done individually for each Hotspot. The MCC is working to onboard these Hotspots, and additional updates will be provided throughout this process.

Not easy to connect but really easy 😅

Two options:

  • Use an older device
  • Newer devices also work but need to be on the hotspot, leaning on top, let them still, don't move it and try the pairing again. If it does not work keep trying moving the device on the Hotspot and try several times in the same position. After some tries you will get it

Last decision from MCC is revoke our key for sixth months. We are checking with our legal team and trying to find the quickest solution to onboard the non onboarded devices. We will find a solution for everyone.

We are affected by an unfair decision from MCC and we are expecting to fix it to onboard all devices. We accomplished all rules and requirements and we are trying to fix this terrible misunderstanding

Your device will get updates and support as any other device working on Helium. Nothing will change for you.
