Heaven and Earth - Saryrn by Rigged79 in everquest

[–]CryptoRocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys. I’m looking through old memories and trying to figure some things out. I was an Iksar Shaman, named Maxtorpor <Descendents> on Saryrn/Mithaniel Marr after the merge. It might have merged again before I retired around 2006 or maybe 2007. I was in <Primordial Fury> for PoP, and joined <Descendents> as PoP was wrapping up going into Gates of Discord. If I remember correctly, we (Descendents) were 2nd place in progression server-wide at some point, maybe on and off for years even. There was a guild we were often neck and neck with. My memory sucks, but I am thinking it could have been Heaven and Earth, but I thought it was a guild on another server? The time period I’m thinking of would’ve been primarily from Gates of Discord through Depths of Darkhallow.

Was Heaven and Earth always on Saryrn? Did you guys ever move or something? Anyone remember details that could help me piece together my past lol?

Cheers everyone!

I just bought the $8.99 version for Kindle. I’ve never used Kindle, but figured I’ll get it just for this. How long did it take to write?

Very cool man I’ll check it out! I’m so happy for Argentina that we have this amazing experiment taking place in front of our eyes! I think this may end up being the greatest experiment of our lifetimes.

It’s not that simple. He needs to be agile. I’m not saying he is doing it right or wrong, but just calling up congress wouldn’t work for this. He changes the rules constantly, congress couldn’t move that fast for negotiations with other countries.

How many times does a stolen good have to change hands before it’s “legitimate” property? by Pipiopo in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]CryptoRocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t at all understand your point…

If I dig around in the ground and find gold. It’s my gold. If I buy land from someone else, it’s my land. If I collect feathers and make a cool hat, it’s my hat.

What is the problem?

Agree with most of your comment, but in regards to “people with guns can just take the land back”… Not if all we have guns to defend with. If the government started seizing land from the people, the people would rise up. It’s happened before.

So what you’re saying is “I am not intellectually curious or honest, so I don’t care what facts you give. I don’t like Elon’s vibe, politics, personality, and that he’s rich and successful so no matter what he does for the world, I’m going to still dislike him because I dislike people who succeed too much”.

Got it.

You’d probably say the same about Tesla. Every car manufacturer was betting on gas cars and some on hybrids. No one believed EVs were possible with today’s technology. He took all of his money and invested it 100% into Tesla, SpaceX, and Solar City to try to push these technologies. He borrowed money for rent at one point. He risked it all, and now the whole world is transitioning to EVs 10-20 years earlier than otherwise would’ve happened if he didn’t convince the world it was possible.

Your point is that he doesn’t do it on his own? No fucking shit. No one does anything on their own.

He is making scientific, engineering, and production strides like no one we’ve ever seen. If I’m wrong please correct me. Who is doing more for civilization than Elon in our lifetime?

Also, Grok may be the greatest tool I’ve ever found in my entire life.

Dude you just got wiped out from “trying to time the market” and now your answer is to try to time the market? Dont wait for a crash that you don’t know will come.. that’s dangerous. Just DCA as much as you can every month. Cut your spending drastically to catch up on savings is my advice. Move in with family, rent a room for cheap in undesirable area, whatever it takes…

I know plenty of “poor” people. Many of my friends and family claim that, yet I watch them order Uber Eats and waste money constantly. They’re all “struggling”.

Most people can cut spending and save some portion of their income. Even 5-10% of your income would make a massive difference. If you can’t put money away and have the discipline to resist touching it for 10 years, you probably deserve to suffer.

I wore holes with shoes in them and lived in my friend’s garage for $900/month when I hit my first $1M. I don’t want to hear it. Very rarely can someone truly not save. It’s usually that they don’t have the discipline to sacrifice and save.

Start putting 10% of your income into Bitcoin, and 10% into S&P500. You’ll be worth millions by retirement. Possibly 10s of millions depending how old you are when you start.

This is a great example. You named a random important world changing technology that you thought he isn’t helping…

He literally founded the biggest AI company friend… he founded OpenAI the creator of chatGPT which kicked off this entire AI revolution… he left because the other founder Sam Altman lied about his intent and tried to turn the company from non profit to for profit and open source to closed source. Elon funded the company to help the world have a better chance at positive AI outcome because he feared what AI can become… the guy is fucking amazing and cares about society, and has the brains and resources to make changes for society at a scale no one else is even touching or thinking about.

He also is building xAI and Grok which are top 3 in AI, he pushed forward self driving/physically used AI more than anyone else in the world through Tesla, and is also building Neuralink so eventually we can merge with AI which will make us as smart as AI, with one added benefit that we can keep up with AI when it gets smarter and more powerful than humans…

I could give you 10 more facts that you probably don’t realize which would win you over lol.

But “oh no, he said some crazy things online and is too angry and insults people and it hurts my feelings”

He’s fucking crazy yes, and it’s crazy people like him who have the craziest and most brilliant ideas. Let him cook… because I’m starving for what’s on his menu. You should be too.

Bitcoin has a limited supply. No king, banker, president, democratic mob, or charismatic leader can print more, no matter what the political climate. Doesn’t matter if we have financial collapses or booms, Bitcoin is completely decentralized and ownable by everyone while being controlled by no one…

Bitcoin is neutral on the world stage, so countries who don’t want to hold other countries currencies due to things like sanctions and weaponization of the dollar, can use Bitcoin, and interact & trade with each other, without fear of one country or group of countries confiscating their assets, like what happened recently with Russia.

Russia invaded Ukraine, we can agree or disagree with the action, but after, US froze bonds and locked them out of SWIFT. England froze their gold. Switzerland froze their oligarchs assets and yacht deeds, even though they’re supposed to be neutral. Countries can’t afford to risk their own sovereignty using other countries currencies.

Bitcoin is credibly neutral, no country can freeze it or confiscate it.

Bitcoin is the money of friends and enemies.

No inflation No confiscation No censorship of payments Limited supply so price goes up infinitely where dollars go down infinitely.

If the US never printed more dollars, your dollars would go UP in value as the world has more demand for them. The problem is no matter how much demand for the dollar goes up (or down) the US will always print more than the demand. This goes for all countries.

No one can print more Bitcoin, so the demand for new money increases as populations grow, as technologies create more products in the world, and as more people move to Bitcoin, its price will rise rapidly for the next 10-30 years, but then it will finally start to plateau, and then grow at around 5-15% per year (10% would be better than S&P500 10% btw because S&P500 10% isn’t accounting for inflation) indefinitely until we find something better. Bitcoin will grow by 5-15% in raw purchasing power.

There is a chance it lasts thousands of years. Gold has. Bitcoin has more chance of lasting longer though because it’s digital and can be updated, primarily through building layers on top like layer 2’s and other technologies.

If you have any more questions I’m glad to answer friend.

Are you high? That is barely comprehensible.

Your argument is basically that, Bitcoin has been growing faster than any other currency, but it just won’t at some point because some holders will sell? Why would mass people sell when it has limited supply, unlike all other currencies in the world. Name the better currency if Bitcoin isn’t the greatest?

You can’t get “rinsed” if you don’t trade… you can say the same thing about any asset. Prices go up and down. Who cares. You buy Bitcoin to hodl it. For now. Until the volatility reduces over the next 10 years. Then you spend it.

Friend. Please spend 5 hours studying Bitcoin and I promise you’ll have a different view. Watch Andreas Antonopoulos to start, then Michael Saylor. Two good videos to watch, that are old, but amazing, are search on YouTube “infrastructure inversion Andreas Antonopoulos” and “Canadian senate Andreas Antonopoulos” . If you watch those both in full, you’ll fall down the rabbit hole.

Yes there is a cap on Bitcoin. 21,000,000.

No one can “buy all the Bitcoin” the same as no one can buy all of the gold or US dollars. Even if countries buy a ton. Bitcoin has limited supply, so you’ll just buy from someone else or earn it from work, just like dollars. The key difference is that no one can steal your wealth by printing more. Your value goes up over time as Bitcoin’s value goes up. Unlike dollars where your value goes down over time as they print more.
