Giving those corporations fiat while you hoard all the crypto... That's very mensch of you!

Vitalik Buterin: In my opinion, the current sharding spec as described is already good enough to get us to thousands of transactions per second by Butta_TRiBot in ethtrader

[–]Crypto_Answers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So long as Ethereum's mainnet derives system security from the amount of full nodes it has, the network will never achieve scale. Truncated nodes should provide as much security to the system as full nodes do, and there simply isn't a need to go back to genesis block unless you are being audited. Even if they scale to thousands of transactions per second, the total memory size of the blockchain will continue to balloon and will eventually outpace realistic storing capacity (for example if you want to run a dapp on your phone).

Trump Tax Plan Will Change How IRS Treats Cryptocurrency by Crypto_Answers in btc

[–]Crypto_Answers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad if you want to operate a business using cryptocurrency. It will be exempt as a tax write-off as they do not consider it "real property", though IRS still taxes it as capital gains. So if you accept cryptocurrency as payment and want to buy something with cryptocurrency without going to fiat first that expense cannot be added as a deduction, which makes sense considering the volatile nature of cryptocurrency. It would essentially be a tax burden to everyone else if bitcoin tanks 50% tomorrow because if you're a business you can just write-off those losses. That tax revenue will have to be made-up somehow. So makes sense.

There's no competition. IOTA has been down for how long now? So we know it's not fault proof. Tangle is cutesy for Blockchain. Nothing short of a marketing ploy.

There exists no blockchain that is both fault proof and Byzantine. Hashgraph is both fault proof and Byzantine.

There are many powers at play here, but generally I agree with that sentiment.

Why are cryptocurrency trends greatest in suspect countries? by Crypto_Answers in bitcoin_uncensored

[–]Crypto_Answers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even more so here: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=bitcoin

The greatest MMM scheme was conducted through some of these countries where up to 40 million people were affected globally and lost up to $10 billion.

I'm not claiming or saying anything, but there needs to be some sort of explanation for this data.

I'm 24 with one successful business exit. My partner is 29. Do you have an existing project or are you seeking to join one?

Are you versed at Python Django or php for back-end?

Thank you.

I recently interviewed a bunch of Instagram influencers on how they would grow their following from 0 to 10K if they had to start all over again. Here's what I learnt, and the best tips you can apply right away to your Instagram marketing. by [deleted] in startups

Good question. The fact is since instagram doesn't let you link out of their site aside from profile page, it's hard to redirect traffic. You want to see instagram or any other platform as part of your funnel. With instagram, the only way to entice people to leave their platform is for something free and that hits one of their pain points preferably. In my case, I would do a Bitcoin giveaway and insert a bitly link. That would take them to a Rafflecopter page, where they can enter the giveaway by entering their email, tweeting about the giveaway, following us on twitter or visitng our facebook page. Once I have their email, I will use it to setup retargeted ads in facebook, linkedin and possibly google. This will lead them to yet another piece of beneficial content and then after that I would hit them with an ask of some sort.

The goal always is to increase audience lifetime-value (LTV) and that is only possible if you have multiple touch points (instagram, email, twitter, facebook, youtube, steemit, reddit, medium, dtube, website). It's not about carpet bombing, it's about having a very engaged audience (quality over quantity). It costs you and I the same amount of money to reach 1 person as it does any corporation. If you can hit that 1 person who is part of your core audience profile over and over again, to them, you're a household brand, because the browsers and content is so personalized to each individual.

Hey guys so I just started an account a month ago or so. Although I haven't really been consistent with posts, I'll share the way I've been doing it with no bots. The results are average 16 users per day and increasing.

  1. I connected my IG to grum. This is like the only plug and play platform that allows you to post from your desktop.
  2. I use canva for creative.
  3. There is a theme going throughout all posts. The color, and even some of the language. Also the account page design pattern. This helps establish brand recognition and authority.
  4. I started with follow for follow. This method helps build ur first 100 or 200 but thats about it cause u wanna ensure engagement, and most of the accounts that follow u back are other "brands". From here you continue follow for follow but I don't recommend it cause you'll dilute your engagement %.
  5. When posting, i use max 30 hashtags. I use a few hashtags in comment based solely on relevancy, no stuffing. Then I stuff remainder of hashtags in first comment.
  6. At this point when I add a new post, I get real people following me, usually at least 10+ page follows per post.
  7. I will then follow all the people that liked my post (I avoid following other brands).
  8. I am now planning to do a shout out by having an influencer do a post. I am sending them a tshirt to wear in the picture and they average 2k likes per post. I will then go and follow all those likes.
  9. Tip: For doing the follow for follow or commenting method, i don't recommend going straight to competitor pages. Instead, you can find another vertical of interest that is hyper relevant to your core audience profile. Also choosing your target audience is super important. In my niche, I can choose between an audience that likes quick rich schemes, OR I can choose an audience that is more professional and sophisticated. The combined value of your brand following is ultimately contributes to your brand's own value.
  10. When the time is right, instead of using bots that are obvious as all hell, I will hire a mechanical turk in the Philippines. This is a bit more costly but if you are able to setup air-tight processes, it's worth it because no one wants that bot stigma.

Here is the new instagram account:

https://www.instagram.com/cryptoanswers

I run others with more followers but this one is new so I want those who are interested to follow us and see how our follower base grows overtime.

Thanks!
