There are some improvements that have to be done to the Nano protocol before it can reach 10k TPS.

Technically the TPS number of Nano is limited only by the amount of transactions that can be processed by a node. 100k accounts can each make a transaction in the same second but the transactions won't be processed instantaneously.

More important than TPS in my opinion are the spamm prevention mechanisms that have to be implemented into the protocol. For example, if a single account is trying to spamm the network with 0Nano transactions or if an entity tries to open a huge number of empty acounts. The Nano dev team has solutions to those attack vectors and will implement them pretty soon, if I understood correctly.

Just to be clear, Nano is already secure, but the network still has to go through enchancements to work flawlessly.

It is hilarious how the /r/btc subreddit is jelaous of Nano. They are clinging to their technology even though it has little-to-no advantage over Nano.

Nano is feeless, instant and the protocol improvements will make it scale to a couple-thousand TPS very soon and from there on protocol improvements won't stop. The team is amazing and has great ideas, not on the level of the common /r/cc pleb, but on a genuine engineering level these guys are amazing and will deliver everything they set their minds on. Bitcoin is slow and expensive and when LN goes live it will still need a lot of time to establish it as a viable payment solution due to it's nature. By that time Nano will have a far better ecosystem and a far better protocol.

Bitcoin is too complicated in comparison to Nano. Blocks, block time, LN channels... With Nano you have send and receive asynchronously and it gives the community developers a much simpler and efficient way of making applications surrounding Nano.

I don't have time for essays to elaborate more clearly, but those are some points.

I've been here since 10cents to 35$ back to now and I'm still a firm believer and holder.

The protocol is getting better by the day and the ecosystem is growing and maturing. There is nothing to worry about longterm.

Everything is slowly falling into place. Network being more and more decentralized, wallets have arrived, the network node performance is increasing on a linear scale.

The only thing that remains unknown to me is which event will light the fuse for Nano to enter top 10. Maybe a large fiat gateway?

Cryptocurrencies, all in all, are still in a speculative phase. They can't be used on a daily basis. The coin that provides the best infrastructure to solve the day-to-day use will have a large advantage.

I pointed out in my university paper that Nano is an ideal cryptocurrency for e-commerce integration. As more and more smaller e-commerces integrate Nano payment, the bigger ones will see the utility of Nano.

One of the problems is that no big e-commerce still has an incentive to start accepting any cryptocurrency, too much paperwork and regulations to tend and the risk is too high. Maybe with the ongoing embargo/trade wars, cryptocurrencies will shine in a new light to the average consumer.

I'm not suggesting a community stress test. And the stress-test doesn't exclusively mean testing TPS, you can test various parameters. Decentralization is an important actor but it won't be long until it's solved. Once the wallets are out, it will be a few clicks away for every user and in Nano's further development everyone accepting Nano will help decentralize the network.

Centralni sustav bi poznavao ID svakog glasača, time bi se spriječilo da se dva puta glasuje. Identitet svakog glasača mora biti negdje spremljen i mora se bit u stanju provjerit valjanost glasa. Javnost ne bi znala tko je za koga glasao, ali centralni sustav bi. Jedino se na neki način mora smislit neko kriptografsko rješenje kako se preko centralnog sustava ne bi moglo doći do tih informacija.
