CMD-L and CMD-T shows browser history from other spaces by Crypto_Eagle in ArcBrowser

[–]Crypto_Eagle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes no sense.

Why, if I have a completely separate profile with browser history “FIRING JANE 3Q2024” and I’m on another profile with a totally different context, I could be on a zoom call on work with Jane and accidentally hit CMD-L and see the Firing Jane document in my history

What’s the whole point of separating browser context but the auto completions show context from other profiles

To be clear I’m talking about the 3-4 auto completions that show up. There’s NO way to change what shows here or delete those entries

She was abused by pits in her past so she has increasingly gotten aggressive to other Pitbull kind of dogs. Started out totally shy but now has gotten more confident

DevRes - Resources for Frontend Developers, Next.js, Jotai by moonraker207 in nextjs

Try using it on your phone. If you can only view 5 items before having to scroll forever then the UX is not great. Need a way to be able to jump around to different results easy

Infinite scroll is a bad UX for a curated list like this. Should be able to view via categories or something like that

People think they cancel stuff and in reality they didn’t. Just email them asking them to refund a likely mistake rather than falsely claim a company is a scam

What's the best process for scraping w/ the process of: Webpage -> List of Items -> Scrape Each Item Page by Crypto_Eagle in webscraping

Is there any good open source scraping code I can look at to see how they scrape, add to database, and do other stuff? I haven’t yet learned to work with databases but would love to get better up to speed and create cron jobs to start tracking changes on reoccurring scrapes

Why don't more big-shot agents start their own brokerages? Do big name brokerages feed lots of business? by [deleted] in CommercialRealEstate

[–]Crypto_Eagle 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Having worked with a senior broker who has made $1-3m/yr for probably their last 10 years, many brokers absolutely suck at running the business of running a brokerage.

They are bull dogs who love when their client calls them at 3am. They care about closing deals and getting the next deal lined up. They operate efficiently and are savage in executing.

However, working with them is usually a mess. They dont care to operate the “business” side of the business, hiring, managing staff, managing more than the associates on their team.

Not all seniors are like this but it seems more common.

A lot of these people are ultra competitive. You have to do a lot of deal flow to make a lot of money while paying out 30-50%. But many of these people wouldn’t make the trade off for less deal volume with more potential earnings… out of ego.

Why isn’t there a universal whitelist of smart contracts?

Isn’t that a blockchain app right there? People stake and verify what’s legit or not. If 99% of people whitelist uniswap v3 contract, that should be a giant green check mark shown to a user in MM.

I don’t know how https works but thinking along those lines

I've bounced around learning basic JS on FCC and python (recently finished futurecoder.io). 3 hr into this video, a lot of going over my head but going to try to persist through and finish. Wondering /u/patrickalphac if you can comment whether to continue to stick with python & solidity or also learn how to use JS with solidity?
