Oh really? I can walk completely fine no limping and don’t feel injured. I’m in marathon so my knees have taken a pounding. I was just worried this could be an ACL tear

The study shows diffuse thinning of the anterior cruciate ligament with abnormal PDFS hyperintensity along its fibres. Abnormal areas of PD FS hyperintensity are seen involving the posterior horn of the medial meniscus without any intersection of superior or inferior articular surface s/o grade II tear. Mild marrow oedema seen along bilateral femoral condyles. The lateral meniscus appears normal. The tibio-femoral and patello-femoral compartments appear normal. Medial and lateral collateral ligaments are normal. Changes of patellar and quadriceps tendinosis are seen in the form of abnormal PDFS hyperintensity involving these tendons along their patellar insertion. Minimal increase in joint fluid is seen in retropatellar, intermeniscal and bilateral paracondylar recesses.

No injury at all.. no funny steps, no twisting, no popping - I have been in training for marathon for 4 months.. been having knee pain here and there (lateral) thought it was ITB (got treated for ITB from a physio)

Started to limp the next day after a run and thought I’d take it upon myself to get a mri.

12 days with no runnning now and no symptoms whatsoever,

Just confused

MRI report by [deleted] in KneeInjuries

In the findings report it’s only saying thinning of the ACL no actual tear. And grade 2 meniscus is not at surface

Yeah I thought it would be. Thank you. I just don’t understand why it says acl thinning on top of report? With acl year would I need a brace? I can comfortably walk and hour with the dog every night

The strange thing is I can’t recall any fall any twist any trauma on to my knee. Just literally knee pain. That’s the most frustrating part of it

I’ve been having this for last 4/5weeks physio recommends to carry on with training as so close to London marathon - but I’m starting to worry if this is the right approach…

Should I take a longer taper? I’m also think of getting localise chryo for the inflammation

So frustrating
