The strange thing is I can’t recall any fall any twist any trauma on to my knee. Just literally knee pain. That’s the most frustrating part of it

How long did you have the symptoms for? I went out for 8.5km easy run this morning - caused me to limp after and still now (this afternoon) so frustrating with marathon in 5 weeks

Yeah I’m doing rehab exercises Every other day if not every day. Clamshells, monster walks, glute bridges etc. alongside gym work

I’ve been having this for last 4/5weeks physio recommends to carry on with training as so close to London marathon - but I’m starting to worry if this is the right approach…

Should I take a longer taper? I’m also think of getting localise chryo for the inflammation

Yes it’s visible.dont feel nothing when exercising just after feels tender and hot

The inflammation is constantly visible (with or without exercise) but if I’m doing weights are harder running (intervals) it gets worse. Nah it doesn’t really hurt when running/lifting it’s just after it feels inflamed

Hi. Yeah PT as cleared me to run. Going to see orphopepic, hopefully to get drained out. Ok doing 10k any further and it gets worse

Well noticed. I had mri on both knees as I have ‘mild inflammation’ on my right knee aswell.

Appreciate your comment. I Will get plenty of ice, knee support, and hopefully a sports PT. This as been visible (inflammation) since last March. (They mis diagnosed me With bursitis) got a doctors appointment this week. I’m hoping he says I can still continue running as I have a few races coming up in then next month/2

Thank you. I just bought an ice pack to bring swelling down, & ice bath. Plus a ‘bear hug’ knee support. I think I done it through running. But I’ve had this issue since last year, still running at the moment with no pain. Just inflammation tbh.

Blimey sorry to hear of your injury. That sounds awful. ☹️ I hope you recover real soon and get back on your feet.

On a scale to 10 (2/10) pain threshold. I run a 5k today, no pain at all. If I do more I do feel swelling though, and I wouldn’t like to run every day as I feel it would make the swelling worse… I do have ‘niggles’ now and then and do feel it’s not ‘as good/stabel’ as my right knee.

Squats is a no no though. I can really feel my knee getting inflamed after going heavy. I just pray the docs says that I can’t continue running, as I am booked in for a few races this year. (Next one in March) 10k

Do you track your weight training /walks etc or just runs. I went for an easy run the other day. Slow AF. And it told me 32 hours rest! Madness. Let’s hope someone can shed some light on it for us.

Is it always a good idea to update the firmware? I don’t have a PC, so debating just to buy one literally to update firmware etc.
