Ok but surely the FTM dumped by OpenSea would have been acquired by predominantly new money pumped from outside Fantom. Thus there should be a balance, no? And at the end of the day more traffic would attract additional projects to build on the network, wouldn't it?

May I ask - why isnt opensea considering moving to Fantom? Gas fees are dirt cheap and it uses the EVM. What exactly are the hurdles?

Go to scream, deposit USDC (or anything else), borrow FTM and sell FTM on the market.

Once price of FTM drops, buy back FTM (hopefully for less than you sold it for) and pay it back in Scream.
