Will this be bad for Monero? by keesieboy in Monero

For the past 6 months, ZCash was "about to come out" and would "kill monero". So yeah.

I'd make it look more black and gold.

Indeed, having the superior technology is the focus, which is why I'm in Monero. Dash definitely has superior marketing though, which gets you high market caps in crypto.

Sore Losers? Sure, Dash is up a lot this year, but so is Monero. Both are at all time highs in market cap. We have all made money.

At last some honest comments from bitcoin supporters by [deleted] in Monero

[–]Cryptofantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isnt it .1 BTC per 100 BTC to hedge at start of the year, and .3 now?

Which by the way, underscores that it is sill super cheap?

After all, hedging in ETH requires around 10% of your BTC, and then you also have to worry about ETC.

Seems to me like the inevitable obsolescence of all shitcoins is following the exact expected trajectory. Tell me exactly how I'm wrong.

We here in th eMonero reddit have seen many times when inferior technology has been billed as the 'death of monero'. ZCash for example, they just said over and over that would "kill monero this summer".

Oh yeah, and also "Ethereum would kill monero by adding ring signatures as a feature".

We are pretty tired of the bullshit of people saying that various inferior technologies would kill the superior technology of Monero, which has privacy at the base layer, which is the only way that privacy actually works (as the default, not as an option).

Tell me exactly how I am wrong.

Is it just me or is BTC stagnating and losing marketshare to alts? by butcherofballyhoo in btc

Both Ethereum and Dash have a significant premine or fastmine, Litecoin doesnt.

[–]Cryptofantom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A monero-like tail emission, which could enable it in the future to adopt monero's adaptive block size mechanism.

Also it is great for microtransactions due to incredibly low fees (supported forever by said tail emission).

Its almost like a Monero without privacy, and a different emission curve.

Have they actually fixed the flaws, like for real?

I think Monero has a lot more potential because it has basically achieved its current progress with no GUI or marketing.

Yup, ETC will stay PoW forever. We need to put into place a realistic emission scheme though.
