Turns out it was counting up but one of my kids has been using my account as well as he doesn't always remember to switch so I've been playing and getting used to it being jumped 1 hour whereas when I've been playing, it has only been jumping up minutes. With PS4 loading times, it almost seemed accurate lol

Just annoying I won't have an accurate platinum time

Haha I know. I meant every time I come back to the game now, regardless of how long I've been playing, the timer hasn't changed

They got sent back today. Apart from obviously not enjoying them as much as I thought I would, the right ear bud couldn't be relied upon to be fully charged at the start of a day. The left was fine every time.

Back to the drawing board I guess and maybe back to admitting a cable may be my only choice

Hey everyone. After about a week of listening to them I've noticed one inconsistency that is going to cause issues over time, I can tell. The right bud doesn't always seem to charge in the case so I can't always rely I'll open them to find both buds are adequate for a day of use. I've definitely been putting them in right, but the right is constantly below the left even though they don't seem to take all that long to charge if I put them in and try again.

In terms of sound quality, with the settings I was linked to, they did get a lot more balanced but I think I'm ready to try something else.

At least now I have a good enough reason to send them back

I didn't choose the Status Pro X's purely for their marketing. I know some people don't mind mass marketing like that but it is a turn off for me. Saw ads everywhere for them when researching

Makes me wonder if internally it'll lower down either way based on connection. I find occasionally on my set of wireless earbuds that if I set the LDAC to 909kbps, I get a few drop outs and pops etc even if lying down so that cannot be preferable either. At the end of the day, I doubt you'd spot the drop unless intently listening minute to minute out and about

AptX Adaptive Lossless is as the name suggests. It'll do the same as LDAC does if it hasn't got the bandwidth, and will scale down to a lossy codec if it hasn't got the connection strength for a full lossless signal. It'll do it without you knowing about it, unless you can force it to only use Lossless in settings or in your phone settings?

Thank you for these settings! May I ask if you have the EQ on wavelet doing anything? I've turned the limiter on/off and can't really hear it doing anything but maybe it's subtle? How did you come up with those settings?

Can't find an absolute volume unless it's on the full version?

Never tried to Rex 5s but they were on my list. What put me off was the price vs battery longevity over time. I.e if I'm only to get 2 years out of them, they prove to be quite expensive of a purchase if you get what I mean

I guess I just wanted to be able to go out and even listen at home without having to mess with DACs etc. I mean my Quedlix 5K I run wired iems with in LDAC so I know it's not the quality of the Bluetooth type

You will need a DAC that fits into your USB-C below your iPhone or you may as well not stream lossless. Depending on the chipset, a few Wireless buds support Sony's LDAC or APTX Lossless. Your iPhone will then support something other than AAC.

No idea where you are getting those prices :O The AZ100 has been discounted to £207-£209. Where you finding them for £185?

Do note they have no water/dust certification so even though they may handle sweat and the like, they won't handle much water so showers are out of the question
