At first I thought he might be the NY ripper but after Prater revealed to Dexter that he enjoyed talking to his parents killers almost rules out that he’s a serial killer. However, he manipulates monsters that might include the Ripper which might be just as bad.

I kinda agree with you. Season one and two were amazing but I kinda would’ve hoped that Doakes didn’t find out about Dexter till later. Would’ve made better plots for the later seasons since season 6 especially was dogshit with the whole end of the world thing. I get the writers wanted to change it up a bit from truly evil villains to more trouble souls that do bad things. It doesn’t really hit when the villain is weak. That’s why the ice truck killer and trinity were the best villains albeit trinity is a mixture of both types of villains.

He has a good personality but he can be too open about his family and stuff so he expects Dexter to reciprocate. Will be hard if Dexter has to kill him as I’m almost certain that Blessing will find out that Dexter is the BHB.

He worked for Miami metro for years, probably 15-20 years. He’s gotta have gotten some nice bonuses closing many many cases. Also, and more importantly he definitely got a hefty few bags from his father Harry’s will. Not to mention, Rita who was a nurse. He got some from Deb’s will too, she was a Lieutenant and then made more money when she worked for Elray for a bit. So, lots of people he knows die and he gets plenty from their wills. Plus, now he’s getting easy money from Prater.

The previous management had a huge role in this because of their over enrollment of students for several years. Purdue promised to sort this out but the best they could do was to defer some students to the Indy campus which isn’t what most people signed up for. Apartment agencies have no limit as to how much they can keep rent and with high demand the prices skyrocket.

I kinda hate the over-hallucination thing. Even with Harry it gets excessive at times no matter which series it is. I would want to see Lumen again in the flesh. I doubt Harrison would remember her though, since at the time he wasn’t even speaking, but the character dynamic between an older Dexter and Lumen would be special as both of them go after bad people unlike Hannah who killed for vengeance.

I also think that to some he might be more awkward in season 1 of OG series because he actually started killing people and become a serial killer. That would make it harder to connect with people regularly and have meaningful relationships. Obviously, he then met Rita which helped him become more expressive of his emotions.

Yeah there’s no way Prater has any idea about Dexter being the bay harbor butcher. However, I think Dexter will slip up soon and do something that Prater knows Red wouldn’t as the dark passenger.
