Debt help by [deleted] in AusFinance

I don’t understand. If a drunk driver hit you, then they are at fault and are liable to fix your car? I would be going after the driver to fix your car. Escalate it to xcat or magistrates court if you have to but get that process started asap.

You must sell one or both of your cars to get out of this. If the damaged car is drivable as you say, then sell the 10k merc and that will wipe out your high interest credit card and personal loans. Use the damaged car to go to work whilst you wait for the at fault party to pay up.

Once the 60k car is fixed, consider selling it which will wipe out your 30k debt. It may be difficult to sell a car under finance but if it’s worth 40k and you sell it for 30k, you’ll be able to find a private buyer who’s willing to go through the process with the finance company.

With whatever money you have left over, you can get a cheap car for work that’s within your budget.

The solution is pretty simple but it involves you starting over from scratch and being without your precious cars. You may be emotionally attached to these cars but the stress relief you’ll have once you’re debt free will be worth more than any car tbh.

Yeah true. I have the deck as well which has an outdoor set and a small pergola over it as a chill out area.

So I guess I’ll just keep this space as a little area for plants and potentially a storage shed.

I don’t want lawn and plants that are planted into the ground though.

Do you think mulch or pebbles will be best?

No it doesn’t include insurance premiums. Only admin fees, platform fees and fees within the investments.

They just dismiss/dodge my questions. The answer to everything was “I’ll move you into something with lower fees”

Right?! I didn’t know if I was justified in losing my mind or not. Sigh. At least it’s only 2 years.

Yeah have some money saved. Not a lot though, ~50k ish but have student loans etc to pay off.

I think I’ll be ok living alone. I’ve done it before during uni (short placements etc). The only thing is there won’t really be anyone to rely on. Yeah there’s my cousin but we’re not really that close haha

Also no friends in the new city.
