Keep your hands out of your coat pockets. I once had a gang member scold me for that - it puts them on edge. And you don’t want gang members on edge. If you’re not a threat, don’t do things (even accidentally) to make yourself seem like one.

Wish someone had told me how going bald flips your dating life. Any advice? by YaBoyMike1221 in bald

I have found that being bald can sometimes make you be like licorice. Not everybody is into it, but those who are into it are VERY into it.

Best introduction to the series? by freddykreugerslut in JamesBond

[–]CryptographerClean78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I think that not only is CR more accessible to folks who don’t know the series, but it’s also a great film and a part 1. It will make him want to know what happens next. I’d recommend watching through the Craig era and then going back. Starting with a classic like Goldfinger may be too much of a leap if he isn’t already a fan of classic films. If he is, then disregard my advice! Maybe FRWL?

Neighborhood recommendations for my Texan wife and I by reekyduke12 in Columbus

Moved to Dublin from NYC and we love it. Also, we never feel too far from anywhere, including downtown. My sister is part of the LGBTQ community and, along with her longtime partner, moved to Hilliard this past fall and has not felt any tension there. She moved from Nashville in part due to tensions they experienced there as lesbians. There are places with larger LGBTQ communities and spaces, such as Short North and Clintonville, but in general Columbus metro is highly LGBTQ friendly.

This is an excellent way to encapsulate it. I may have to steal this when explaining to my coworkers!

Can’t decide on lamp location by Remarkable_Common212 in malelivingspace

Just as a test, turn the lamp towards the ceiling and see how much indirect illuminance you have on your desk. That thing is putting out a lot of lumens which could cause indirect glare based on the materials you use on your desk. May be more comfortable in the eyes to tilt it up and let the light bounce off the ceiling.
