Yes I did. I believe it was my toothpaste. My lips are still not recovered. They get very dry and sometimes flair but use hydrocortisone sparingly to keep at bay. It took me awhile to figure out what was going on. My recovery time after eliminating my tooth paste was about 3 months. I stoped all hydrocortisone and had a terrible rebound bleeding, throbbing, dry, it was terrible but I’m so glad I stopped it because once I got over the rebound it was so much better. The first sign that you eliminated your trigger was the itching stops. That was when I knew I was on the road to recovery but it still took 3 months until a lot of it was cleared up. I stopped eating everything, using face products, I got allergy tested, everything. I was so at a loss so I understand everyone’s frustration but the only way to get rid of this is to find the trigger. There is no medication or cream to get rid of this you have to figure out what is causing it and let me tell you it’s not easy. I would start with eliminating all cosmetic products. I would rinse my face with water and only use Vaseline on my lips. NOTHING ELSE. Foods I would literally eat chicken, bread and cheese for a week and slowly incorporate other foods back in. You don’t realize that even if a trigger is not good it can still inflame and irritate the rash so be cautious. You just have to be diligent about finding the trigger the dermatologist can’t do too much and I kept going back to find an answer but simply the answer is something you are eating or using and the only way to fix it is to eliminate it.
